I would suggest watching the first couple of episodes and decide whether or not you want to continue. It's good,…
I understand. :) I wouldn't call it a "sad" drama at all (except for the opening scene of the 1st episode), there are a lot of funny, cute and sweet moments. But some of it is dramatic/intense as well. And I'm 99% sure it's a happy ending.
This serie is sooo underrated!!It is so fun and the couple adorable!!
This IS fun! I've watched the first three episodes (subbed) so far. I hope the rest will be subbed soon, I would love to see how it all turns out. Thanks for recommending it, @Liz
The last episode was SO dramatic! But one question... am I the only one who thinks it is bizarre as hell that the family would have kept the gun that killed both Korn and In? Seriously, WHO WOULD DO THAT????? And it's even weirder if the gun is still loaded. (Of course, we don't know if it is or not.)
Hey guys, so I havent watched this series or know much about it. But, I saw a WinTeam fan MV on YouTube and omggg.…
I would suggest watching the first couple of episodes and decide whether or not you want to continue. It's good, but the plot drags on quite a bit and WinTeam aren't onscreen all that much... some episodes don't show them at all. Another option: wait until after next week, when the series is over. I'll bet there will be videos online of just the WinTeam scenes.
Loved Episode 1! At one point, when I saw Ohm (the character), I thought "oh, it's Non from DBK." Looked him up on the cast... turns out it's his twin brother! Anyway...
I'm holding out hope that this continues to be good. It might end up being my favorite BL so far this year.
I'll watch all of this, because it's so short. But I haven't found any character I particularly care about... maybe Lin Xun. Can't stand Yuan Jun Cheng.
This series gets me in a mood! On the one hand, I'm not crazy about the (lack of) pacing, the timing of the KornIn scenes (I still have no idea how long they were together, before the suicides... 3 weeks? 6 months? 1 year?), trying to figure out who's who, the long disappearances of the supporting characters, and some lengthy and (in my opinion) unnecessary scenes that have caused the series to drag on like a wet week. But...
On the other hand, this has some of the best scenes and best acting I've seen in ANY BL, ever! The cinematography is stunning, I love everything about the OST, and the story is original, compelling, deep and interesting. Fluke is especially great in this, so are Ohm and Nine. (Earth is fantastic in the dramatic scenes, but I do find his "cutesy" characterization a total turnoff, it's just too juvenile.) The older adults in the series are just perfect.
I feel like this could have been a real masterpiece. Maybe I should just think of it as a flawed masterpiece, lol!
This is what I ... errrr ... is messing my head...How can Fluke effortlessly cry?! I mean, the tears are just…
Fluke is an exceptional actor... but there's a little trick that actors use to cry "on cue." They simply keep their eyes open without blinking. If you can master that, the tears will come. (Of course, you have to be a good actor to know what to do afterward!) If you watch a lot of Fluke's crying scenes, you'll see he is not blinking, until the tears start flowing. Look for it.
I prefer those stuff if done right in a good serie with good charachters than a stretched plot with flat charachters…
Hi Liz! I agree with your list except Thank God it's Friday... Nana was kind of a bitch and tried to keep Jump and Home apart. (I've seen worse, though lol!) I never saw I Found Love at 7-11. Is it worth watching?
OK. I was willing to revise my original thought about the character of Dean "pressuring" Pharm for sex. I thought,…
Hey Gottillc! I agree with you. To me, this is a flaw in the writing/directing. The story has depicted Dean as being this caring guy that would never, ever doing anything to pressure or hurt Pharm. And then... this. What happened?
Based on what we know about Dean, I do get the feeling that if Pharm were to speak up ("P'Dean, I do love you but I'm a virgin. I'm not ready for anal sex yet and it may be awhile before I am"), then Dean would probably understand and be more patient. On the other hand, we haven't heard Pharm speak those words. Honestly, I thought it was a little weird to hear Pharm say "Don't do that again, okay?" ...when Pharm hasn't acted in any way except cute and lovestruck. I mean, when couples actually do hook up, someone has to make the first move, right?
Like you, I really do like UWMA a lot! But this thing of the dominant seme/passive uke (which exists but is rather rare with real life gay couples) is one of my pet peeves with straight female authors of Thai BLs. The scene after they finally "did it" -- "I've bought medicine for you, Pharm. Does it hurt?" -- had me rolling my eyes. As if a guy is going to top the one he loves and just start banging away, with no thought of actually pleasuring his partner. It's a bizarre fetish kind of thing, I guess... but it creeps me out, a little.
This one is kind of fun. I'm usually not a big fan of crime family dramas, but I like that these are short episodes that don't take up too much time to watch. Looking forward to see how this develops.
Is this good? I'm not into cheesy and cringy stuff. Unfortunately I'm not a fan of Saint either :(
It's all lighthearted comedy/fantasy. Pretty sophomoric but kind of cute (but waaaaayyy too many side characters). Did you see "The Best Twins?" If you liked that, you should like this.
I'm between loving this series and being frustrated. The acting is great, I like all the couples and the story is an interesting concept. It is filmed beautifully. But... it is dragging on SOOOOOO slowly.
I really wish they had kept it at 12 episodes. There are just too many long scenes that don't go anywhere. Just in this last episode, we watch Pharm and Dean in the bathtub for 9 minutes where nothing happens at all to advance the story. Unnecessary. We've had cooking scenes that seemed to last an eternity. And I miss Manaow, who has been completely left out of the last two episodes.
For those that talk about all the chapters of the book, I will just say that many great movies have been based on books -- many which are much more complex than this story -- and they get it done perfectly in two hours.
Every time they play a little bit of the theme song at the beginning of each part, am I the only one that sings along (even though I don't speak Thai)? I think I'm especially good at the "mng, mng, mng part, lol.
