They cut the scene in the drama and just show she woke up with a white robe to indicate that they are sleeping with each other that night. You can see that scene where he hugs her from behind and them on bed in the trailer. I have no idea why they cut such important scene. I know H&R did this drama to promote their other actors but it really insulting for the leads when they reduced their screen time so much like this.

I dont understand at all. You dont say plot is convoluted when you are used of watching paper thin plot where everyone just defeat all the villains in every episodes. Its ridiculous and made you look bad.

The trailer is not misleading at all. From the trailer, the misunderstanding will last until the end since its the core of their meeting and due to their duty and positions. Those things cant be erased since thats who they are. She is the daughter of his political enemy. Why on earth they will be power couple and defeat her father together. Its not realistic lol.

International viewers just interested to watch Power Couple who is over powered and perfect without flaw. This drama is not it. Stop watching and give yourself a hard time.

This is heavy drama with political intrigues where the leads sometimes lose despite how smart they are. RJL like to pick this kind of complex and multi-layered roles. He will never play a perfect and overpowered characters in his dramas.

Give yourself a favor and watch something else. 😂

In the trailer it was well shown it will be a drama full of misunderstandings. If you didnt enjoy misunderstanding troupe why would you watch it? I dont understand lol.

For me misunderstanding is frustrating only if its stupid and ridiculous. I dont mind the misunderstanding plot in this drama since it makes sense, considering what happened and everyone's goals. Its due to valid & reasonable reasons.

So happy Allen Ren is back with another charismatic role. His regal bearing is truly one of the best in the industry. He can appear very majestic and magnetic on screen with his posture, gait and presence effortlessly.

Coming just from rewatching TDHR where he is playing a poor demon hunter, I enjoy the different change of vibe and aura. Will always adore his range and versatility.

All the actors you mentioned are traffic actors. Li Qin didnt attend if I'm not mistaken. Yibo just accept his award and didnt sit at his place since 227 was assigned on his seat to avoid controversy.

The production team didnt do research. They just copy his work from the book using his 'interpretation' thats why they apologized. The person who did wrong already admitted and apologized. So its all good. And the writer is cool with it as well. You dont have to fight this battle for them.

Really it doesnt. She told the 2ML like in the 3rd episode she wasnt interested, And the ML also knew from the very start that she didnt like the 2ML at all. It was awesome since it was never a love triangle. It was a plot heavy drama. So the romance is very minimal but awesome. Seriously, the best romance I've seen this year in any dramas. You can feel so many thing just by watching both of them interact with each other.

Their relationship is indeed very well portrayed. She knew Pei Yan is also using her just like Wei Zhou in the beginning. But what makes it different is that she finally see Wei Zhou for the man he truly is, the one who fight for his people's freedom despite he is misunderstood by everyone including his own people. She falls in love with that selfless part of him. Plus, he understood her like no one else. That is why he always try to set her free, free from all the politic that bound him and his fate. He wanted a free life for her, just like what she has before she met him. T____T

This drama is soooooooo good. I just love how well written it is. And it is also plot heavy and characters driven type of dramas. Everyone did well acting wise. I'm enamored with Allen's acting and how I understand his suffering, his expressions said it all. 😭 And Landi is amazing! Now she has become one of my fave actresses.

The stakes is just too high for him to tell her everything as he also didnt know the real truth. He was wrong for using her, and he knows it too thats why he always feel guilty. She is mad but understood why he has to do that. Such a mature and understanding relationship. She just needs time, and he gave her that and she comes back to him later. I love them so much!

All actors are dubbed in this drama except Li Landi. I think they really pushed for this to comes out early thus using VAs are the most cost efficient and faster. Even the Emperor, which is a famous renowned actor is dubbed in this drama.

Dont worry. None of that happen in the drama.

1) The FL set boundaries to the 2ML very early and told him in his face she is not interested. She done so many times in the drama. This drama is plot heavy and not romance focused.

2) No, This didnt happen as well. She is very clever. Even when her shifu said the ML's father is a bad guy. She never once believe that.

3) Only 2 person. Again, plot focused. Romance is only 3 minutes in each episode lol. Some episode has no romance at all like the first 10 episodes. >.<

He does not have the stipulation about no kissing/skinship. There are dramas where he kiss his co-stars. Like for an example. The Blue Whisper. There are a lot of kissing scenes in there.

He did not keeps going for the main lead of romance dramas. Most of his dramas are not romance focused like this drama. Romance is just a sub plot. But in pure romance dramas like The Blue Whisper, Forever & Ever or Tang Dynasty, he kissed his co-stars. 😅

It is a non romance drama. The love in the title is not a romantic love. You should have known that just by watching the first 10 episodes. Romance in the drama only a couple of minutes every episode. It is never a focus. MDL always tagged all dramas wrongly. I never trust their tag. >.>

It is not a trash ending. It is very well written despite it being sad. This is how you wrote a good sad ending. It wasnt forced or illogical. It follow the theme of the drama and didnt betray any characters.
