that's why i was confused, he didn't really seem surprise but then it may have just been the context of how she was saying/implying things and he finally just figured out like 'of course, it was you' or what.. i mean she's apparently using the same way with him as she did with her ex-husband so it would be very stupid of Great Khan to not have been wary or suspecting something once he started getting sick the same way..

he didnt have to kill her but it didnt really seem like he took much precautions against her? he was just an asshole to her. i guess he though keeping her away from she'er is a power move? but if anything, that just makes her hate him more and provides another motivator for her to want power. she'er's right hand is also a man that came with her from Sui (unless that was hidden somehow?). idk if i knew my 'wife' killed my brother and the way she did so, even if i needed her for some reason, i would either be keeping her verrrry far away or keeping her verrrry close. not whatever the hell he was doing which allowed her to get to the point of poisoning him.

I am confused by the convo between Great Khan and Khatun in ep 37... it sounds like he knew that khatun killed his brother (who was her husband, the Khan before him)? if so, then how the hell did he not see this coming?? or did he think khatun was in love with him or something and did it to help him. or did he just not care bc hey he got to be khan so who gives a fuck about a murderous sis-in-law, let's marry her! it seems weird that he knew and didn't take precautions and still underestimated her. he really deserve what he got in the end huh..

who knows.. maybe.. to each their own lol i was happy enough just for the characters themselves to be at that next level in their relationship.. but ofc as a shipper who thinks both of them are hot and have chemistry, i would've loved for it to be shown as the 'real' thing and get to enjoy it visually rather than what was actually shown.

watching that scene with the crown prince and shuyu, i did finally find a bit of sympathy for him. he just seems to be a very lonely young boy who only just got his first best friend only to find it was all lies

and then to seal the deal, gives his subordinate the dagger to give back to him *sobs*
