He's starts off carefree with basic skills then eventually gets more powerful, but if you're looking for epic…
That's why I wrote what I wrote. I'd rather people who don't like the type drop it instead of bitch about it in their quickie review. Life is short, there's a lot of good dramas out, enjoy! I'm currently starting one of the Chinese Paladins out today.

No, his powers have been sealed and will remain sealed for half the episodes. After that, he made a SPOILER sacrifice and his power is limited (unknown to everyone, ala BaiJue way of doing things). This drama is very muted when it comes to power stuff. The main protags are very young immortals (several hundreds years old) coming into power as they grow up and being taken advantage of by the older and corrupt immortals. The four Scooby Gang will end up being the most powerful gods/goddesses/queens/kings of the realms but it'll take some time--lots of angst and pain and sacrifices and loss...xianxia stuff. The young immortals theme seemed to have flummoxed many viewers who couldn't take innocent, naive and relatively powerless protagonists to follow, so not sure what your taste is about this. I, for one, enjoyed their journey through happy, anguish and grownup and finally, HEA, times.
I just realized something on my end OMG 😅The name, Xuanyi and Xiuyan.... If you rearrange the letters, it's…
AHAHAHA. I like that for our BL hint! Yes, Xuanyi was more like a ghost, wanting to change fate. If I remember correctly, he made a bet with Shanggu about Yuanqi's fate a long time ago. Not sure if I remember correctly.
I want to connect ALP to TLI. So far I figured out all the name changes however I want to understand the Emperor…
He's the Acting Emperor. You'll understand more as he explains later to Hua Shu his duties. Feng Ran was taking a leave because she wanted to cultivate and also look for her lost love. Since Feng Yin's soul was missing, FR is still the Phoenix Queen.
If you get a chance to watch some BTS clips on Youtube, there is one on her giving suggestions on how to act and film certain scenes to the DIRECTOR. Like the one in which GuJin crushed the love threads, she suggested about scooping the threads from the floor while crying. The director agreed, filmed it that way, then you see the playback where she acted it all out, crying, and you see the DIRECTOR and WAY individually watching the playback and visibly affected! Then there was another scene where she was suggesting on how to be playful and regal with a wine pot. A last one was the crying scene before she decided to die, the famous one with GuJin's spiritual sword. I found this serious, talkative LuSi very interesting to watch. She wasn't the "cute" LuSi or the "fun" persona at all. Very focused and professional. I know she's going to direct some day, just watching those clips. The director used all her suggestions shown in these clips.
