As the year wraps up soon, I want to thank God, 2024 and Youku for bringing me the masterpiece called The Double,…
The Double has taught me that manliner on the right guy with an alpha attitude could move my old ovaries.
BWAHAHAHA. I'll compose a more serious reply after I stop laughing myself silly. Because I keep remembering that dude that came in here accusing all of us of being lonely cat owning women. LOL.
A few days ago I was checking on Yunhe latest data (october and November) and I was making a comparison with the…
Yes, it was definitely the Sleeper of 2024! And no matter what the others say, no other drama has come close to how smart and intriguing this drama was written. It was the Candle Kiss that got many to start feeling cheated because they weren't complaining before. We all loved the word plays and puns, the non-too-subtle flirting and even the silly plothole of XFF wandering in and out of another man's house, LOL. It was the holding back of that one kiss that started the decline.
This is my first historical Cdrama! So far already watch 17 ep and I enjoy it so much! But some things makes me…

I'm sorry, but it's definitely not a masterpiece. Not even close. The first half was unnecessary and overly violent.…
Your critique sounds fair. Thanks for giving the other side. I agree with some of your thoughts, although overall, I do think the drama was done well compared to other "epic" type female dramas of the same sub-genre.
To be or not to be (LYN) Whether it's nobler to bear the slings and arrows of death before credits... Or perchance FOR ONCE, NOT. Aye, that's the question.
You could watch it, and stop before episode 40. I liked about 90% of the plot.
Not mentioned in that last segment. They made her all alone--brave bad strong female cliche. That's why I didn't like it. I prefer that she went traveling with 2ML :). At least, THAT'S life and what Yan would want her to do.
Well.. The whole last episode is pretty much down hill and him realizing she already knew! They don't show him…
Hmm then I think Episode 17 might be the first good place to stop. π. I thought ending it where they were celebrating near ending with a kiss was pretty good too. So, two places!
I forgot how much I loved that quote. Zhang JinRan for the win! HAHA. In my version, he jumped into his carriage and followed Duan Wu for 39 years before he died of old age π
Yes, ML died, but this has been telegraphed since the first ten episodes when they mentioned he had been poisoned. But it's off-camera so you don't actually see the death. Many consider that bittersweet but eh, a death is still a death, LOL. The story is about Duan Wu's journey so it ended with her looking back and talking about her life.
