I really don't get beauty standards, nor will I bother myself with getting them. But a silver lining is that like Bae Doo Na once said that since she was not considered pretty, she was never pigeon holed. It might be tough now, but it will help him seamlessly blend into different kinds of characters, and not just the ravishing CEO. Nice article, very informative 🥰
So rare that i'm actually liking the middle arc more than the start. Usually dramas start with a bang, then drag and fizz, even good ones have a draggy middle. Here on the other hand, the start was actually not that impressive to me, but I stuck around.
Mix Kang Haneul and Park Hae Jin and you have him.. Haha. The comments section is filled with his comparisons with all the best looking actors in K-drama. That's some achievement, lol.
For a 3x Baeksang Arts Awardee, the drama had several ridiculous moments. The obstruction & contamination of evidence…
I am not familiar with how S. Korean laws work so I just take the world created in dramas as an alternate reality where these laws and rules exist, lol. Anyways if a real life documentary is made on how police force in my country work you will be beyond baffled. Maybe that is what does not make me question the decisions made by the characters here or how easily laws are broken or ignored or manipulated. I see it happen almost on a daily basis.
it turned out that water is thicker than blood after all
Hahaa.. Thank god. I absolutely hate the saying that Blood is thicker than Water. It is so overused to justify force acceptance of all kinds of unhealthy family relations and deny other kinds of bonds where I come from. Even if the actual intention of the saying isn't like that, I have a personal distaste for it. PS: English isn't my first language.
Currently rewatching on Netflix and damn, knowing the ending (since I watched the series while airing), gives…
I would like to rewatch it some day too, maybe watch alongside when my sister starts it. I would love to pay more attention to details that I might have missed while trying to play whodunnit on my own.
This drama was such an unexpected gift. I started it because I was bored while eating and clicked seeing that there's a new Yeo Jin Goo drama on Netflix. Soon, I was binge watching episode after episode but also taking my time to savour all small details. It is a combination of everything that I like in a drama - slow pace but not lackluster, character driven but not illogical, mystery but not improbable. One of the rare gems that I rate a 10 <3
"I don’t like the phrase “A cry for help.” I just don’t like how it sounds. When somebody says to me,…
Wow. I was randomly browsing through comments section to see reviews about the film. Never did I think I'll find such a good piece of wisdom. After a long time, I saw something that resonated with me on the net. Thanks, this is going to stick with me :)
I’m on episode 3, watching after a friend recommended it, but I was struggling with whether or not I should…
You are welcome. I read a lot of comments below about who is more to blame, and somehow imagined them as real life friends I would have known and came to this insight! Hehhe
I think the entire problem in their relationship is the fact that they did not enter this marriage as willing partners compared to a normal marriage. Boyan isn't sure if Jianan actually loves him as much as he loves her because he knows how he tricked her into marrying him (the arranged date with Mom), so he is insecure. Jianan only married him initially so as to save her career as a writer, though later started liking him. So from her POV, Career has always been first.
Also, this is probably both of their first relation ever, so they are both immature in handling everyday problems such as time management, work-life balance, and jealousy that all couples face. They both respectively do things that further escalates the argument than come to a productive solution.
While living life, we all make mistakes in dealing with the people around us, whether under-appreciating them or over-relying on them; as long as we learn from those mistakes and not let them occur again. At least they talk about their problems, slowly they'll hit a realization point that it can't go on like this. Whether they fix this and continue their marriage, or choose to go their separate ways are the only two realistic solutions if this was a real-life situation and not a drama.
Forgot to mention, even the villains are great in this. Especially the 2nd prince....I think he ended up being…
Same.. I absolutely loved the 2nd Prince. The actor played the comic villain character so well, balancing both. Also, I liked his funny chemistry with his consort, hehe.
I thought I'm the only one. Every time I saw her in My Girlfriend is an alien, I was so distracted by my subconscious doing comparisons between them XD
If only this didn't delve into idiocy at the end, sigh. Regardless, it was a fun show to watch. It wasn't very tight on the story, but the characters were all easy to watch. Hard to find shows where ML, FL, 2FL, and 2ML are all likable. If only there weren't plotholes and inconsistencies in behaviors, it would really have been a gem of a drama for its genre. At least it had a happy ending with no major character deaths.
Haha. Try ep 40 with this link from a Chinese site.......https://www.olevod.com/index.php/vod/play/id/20721/sid/1/nid/40.htmlIt's…
Oh my god! How dare they cut this scene!!! Thanks for the link :D It was funnier to see how stiff they were.. haha, and the weird wave dance! Epic indeed XD
