I guess I like emotional slowly drawn character stories. This was a treat and even my sister who rarely finishes any series or agrees to watch K-drama with me, loved it. It is not so common to find father-daughter stories like this, and the cast did complete justice to it. Once again, the rating should be much higher than the MDL rating, but oh well.. non romance series always suffer on this site.
I had put it off because of comments saying it starts good but then dips off, and I usually finish whatever I start so I did not want to be stuck. However, thankfully my bet paid off and personally it was a delight to watch the team bond till the very end. I was rooting for everyone, (even that ex-CEO). The story has more emotions than action and thus might not be for everyone, but that's true for most series. I recommend to check it out if you are wondering like me and then make a call. Definitely should be rated much higher than the MDL rating but that is typical on this site for non-romance shows.
It's funny, this feels over the top but then I think about all the online controversies I've seen over the years…
I know, before I got into the social media side of Kpop and Korean entertainment in general, these dramas looked unrealistic. Now, I'm like.. seen worse in reality.
I loved this drama so much. Checked this out cause someone recommended this to me as I hated CEW characters in…
Same.. I had avoided this for years with the prejudice that both leads CEW and SSK are bad at acting. However, here they did justice to their roles and now I will be checking more of their works out as long as the story sounds interesting.
What do you mean by off screen drama? Did sth happen? I could sense a weird shift in the story's flow between…
Thanks for the reply.. wow, that's a ton of unprofessionalism from so many people involved. And this is just the known drama, there must be much more behind it as well.
Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo, Because This is My First Life and What's Wrong with Secretary Kim are most re-watched series. Whenever I'm feeling down, they are assured pick me ups. Most of my rewatched series are either like comfort food or something that I had good memories of, not just the series, but the life events of when I watched them.
Definitely fall into the Ajumma and Drama Google fan. My Completed list consists of most dramas that I saw a little, but know the whole plot. And even if I haven't watched a drama, I still know the plot, many a times, can predict it hehe. That's one of the fun ways I watch dramas seeing if a screenwriter can outwit me.
I hated that they just killed off Wei Wei, it was as if the Producers had some bad blood with the actress and wrote her off like they do in those makjang dramas. Atleast 5th brother's death made some sense. She was my favorite character, and I liked Prince Ning Jin in the second half more than in the first half, i.e, once he gives up on the girl. The actor playing Ning Jin (Niu Zi Fan) was a new face for me and a surprise fav, also still can't believe that he's a year younger than the FL. Maybe because she just looks so cute. I liked her here more than her another work I saw her in.
