I waited forever for this drama to come out (since seeing it listed) and I am so happy it is finally here. The leads had a LOT of chemistry since episode 1, but this episode had all the scenes I have been waiting for since the release of its trailer. The talk show, or the comedy show (whatever you want to call it) scene was AMAZING, I really thought Zhu Yun would make an embarrassment out of herself in that scene, but it was the best scene in the epsiode, and Li Xun's reaction to her making fun of him... the longest we've seen him smile so far. I know they don't "like" each other yet, but it is so obvious that they do and I love that the entire campus seems to ship them together.Wanted Chen fei Yu's hair to be blonde for longer, sad it is gone, but he looks good with dark hair, and the Zhang Jing Yi as always is GORGEOUS.

There were several reasons I wanted to watch this drama. The main two were because Kim You Jung is playing a sociopath, and the second is the fact that one of her love interests is Hong Jong Hyun playing a psychopath. I just really want to see their interactions. After all this time of Ah Ji using people, we finally meet someone crazier than her, someone I don't think I will feel bad for if or when she uses them. I'm really curious about their storyline and I didn't want to accidentally spoil their entire storyline which is why I started this drama before it completed, but why is Jong Hyun listed as a guest role only for episode 8 to 10 here. I thought he would at least be on 11 as well. I hope it's wrong.

I can't believe Jiusi never thought to figure out why she hated him so much. It took him this long to take the initiative to find out. I was really surprised that she already revealed to him the truth he saw this episode, she made him live it and see if for himself. I just didn't realise how much of it was her truth. The illusion she created before showed most of her suffering in the mortal realm already through other people. I love how we now got to see it through her. It was so satisfying seeing Jiusi get so upset about their son, I love that she made him experience being a father figure in that illusion before because his son's life and death hit him a lot harder because he already met and grew very fond of his son (through the illusion).

We finally see Aodeng's real personality outside of Jin'an and his warmongering self. He is surprisingly very much like Li Shuang, they are both upright and have similar moral compass. I can't tell if his personality has changed because of his Jin'an persona because in episode 1 he was very different, he seemed more obsessed with going to war and taking land. He is a lot more chill here and doesn't like he wants to start a war to take more land. Aodeng seems to be falling for her already, which makes complete sense because I think he sees how much she is like him and I love it.

FINALLY Li Shuang meets Prince Annan. I prefer Cheng Lei's character as Audeng over Jin'an. I was wondering how much longer it would take to officially meet Audeng, we only see him briefly in episode 1 with some flashbacks. He is so different to Jin'an and honestly a lot more interesting.

I loved every episode of this drama, but this is perhaps my favourite episode. All the big reveals happened in this episode, though we have yet to confirm the MLs relationship with the Chairman. I really hope they stick to the novel in this aspect, all the hints in this episode and episode 9 suggest that the relation between the ML and the Chairman will remain the same as in the novel. (The only reason I read the novel to begin with is because of the hiatus that one week 😅, I couldn't wait 2 weeks for the next episode).I love how the drama followed all the main plot points of the novel and made them even better in the drama. The ending of this episode was my favourite part despite how sad it was I have no doubt that Hong Hee Ju is alive. The end of this episode deviates from the novel. In fact at this point the main plot of the novel has finished and this deviation made the story so much better. I was wondering where they would go for the last 2 episodes since everything has been revealed. I love how the ML revealed to the world that Hong Hee Ju is his wife (that is the main reason why this is my favourite episode so far).

There are a few big secrets and mysteries in this drama but this was the one I have been waiting for since before the drama even aired. This drama is really slow paced, to the point of getting frustrating, but I also feel like the first 21 episodes or so where just a build up to the second half of the drama where all the more interesting plot lines and mysteries will be delved into.I waited so long for Lu Jiaxue to find out Yining is Mei Mei. I didn't want Shenyuan to find out so soon, but he was so patient I know that the mystery of Yinning and Jiaxue's relationship must have been killing him. I hope Shenyuan becomes more like he is in the novel because so far he is kind of boring, which is why I am rooting so hard for Lu Jiaxue and Yinning. My SLS for Jiaxue ðŸ˜. We finally get to see more of Jiaxue. Yining keeps talking about her relationship with Jiaxue as if it is nothing, whilst to him it was everything and from what I know about the novel, it was also everything to her in her first life, I hate that they make it seem like it was nothing to her in the drama.

I love Lu Jiaxue. He is kind of a red flag, but his character is really interesting. I am so curious about his background and how became so evil, whether he always was like this. From the new flashbacks this episodes it seems like he was never actually a good person, at least to anyone but Yinning. I love their scenes together so much. I really ship them despite knowing it's not going to go anywhere, not just because he is the SML but also because of all the dodgy, straight up illegal stuff he did to get to his position.In this episode Shenyuan finally got some recognition from his family as well more influential people. I can't wait to see him gain everything he deserves. I really don't ship the main leads romantically, I love their platonic sibling relationship and seeing them stand up for each other and help each other.

Lu Jiaxue and Yinning have so much chemistry, more so then Yinning with her 'brother'. We FINALLY get to see Yinning and Jiaxue interacting in the present time this episode (I do not count her mute sene earlier in the drama as them interacting). I am so EXCITED to see more of their scenes and see Jiaxue realise who she is. I am so curious about what happened in their past, and I hope they had a long history together because they will not have a future together, but I am really shipping them just from their chemistry.

This episode reminded me of the American movie "The Others". This was by far my favourite episode, plot twist after plot twist. I really thought the husband was a cheater, I love that he is not, but his POV is really sad. The couple really did last beyond the vows of "till death do us part".

This episode felt like it was the end of a season. All the events in this episode resolved all current plots to the drama. All the villains we've met so far are dead or imprisoned, all the relationships were resolved and all the characters got a happy ending heading for a new journey. This drama could have ended a season here, somewhat on a cliffhanger, with the plot of who killed ML's godfather unresolved, but everything was a HEA. I really hope this drama ends with a HEA, and not an open ending. if not, then just a HEA, there seems to be a season 2 coming.

The plot hasn't really gotten serious yet, seems like it will, but this episode is full of comedy. By far my favourite episode yet and we finally get to see the dynamics of all the main characters and they are all in the same room together. The scene where they are all in the same room is hillariously, everyone is hiding from everyone and everyone finds everyone whilst hiding from the next person to enter the tiny apartment.
