FLX made me cry two times in ep29. When she talked sense in NF and called him her bro and when she saw the setback FSG had suffered after he woke up the first time. 😭

Of course he can deduce that. I wouldn’t be surprised if he found out who the masked man is who was colluding with him to betray Susha. Backstabbing minds think alike.

I thought the emperor is NIF was outstanding too. I think he’s like a double- edged sword. I always remember him when I think of an excellently written emperor. I never watched the second show you mentioned.

I also think she’ll kill herself. Too bad.

I’m more concerned that they don’t deliver satisfyingly on the revenge. Like I’m sure the empress won’t get a fitting death if she dies at all. I’m wondering how low to keep my expectations about her. But FSG’s mom died by a stab in the back from a coward.

Knowing how weak the second prince is, he probably won’t give her any good punishment. Plus, she probably feels she has won because now her son is emperor and will continue to be emperor.

You know he will hold a grudge if his mother is killed. These people always overlook the wrong their relatives do. Then when their relatives get their just desserts, they want to seek revenge for their evil and traitorous relatives. So either the wicked empress won’t be killed and goes crazy instead or she commits suicide or the Murongs kill her. I don’t want her dying by her own hands. I however want her dead.

His best friend betraying him is not shocking anymore. Since he was revealed as the one who colluded with the foreign prince, I expected nothing less from him when it comes to literally stabbing FSG in the back.

I don’t think there is. He was betrayed by everyone close to him except his loyal men and FLX. His father, all his siblings and the so-called best friend.

Thank you. I’m glad it’s her who provided the info. I saw comments speculating that one of the Murongs might have tipped FLX off. I want no mercy for them so I’m glad she is the one who gave the info to LFX.

Love your post. I don’t think MY deserves redemption at this point maybe because he was the one plotting to rebel for years and it has finally come to fruition. I know the cycle of revenge has to end but I want him to pay a big price in the end even if it’s from FLX whom he tried to repeatedly kill. Maybe with the new generation the cycle of revenge can end but I still want MY to pay…if he doesn’t die then maybe he becomes a commoner.

Then FLX should do the job. Sorry but his traitorous bent should not be pardoned. It’s been brewing for years.

I binged-watched the entire show up to ep24 Saturday and yesterday and imo, it wasn’t too fast. Throw in amnesia, betrayal by her closest comrades and continuous attempts on her life…while FSG had her back when she was vulnerable and saved her life and her adopted children a few times even risking his own life (in fire on that boat then nearly drowning)…it seemed natural to me. Not to mention that FSG and FLX already settled old scores with her stringing him up and lashing him 43/44 times. On the other hand, with a friend and lover like Weiran and XJS, who literally tried to kill her numerous times…who needs enemies? FLX and FSG probably bonded faster because the betrayal they experienced by those closest to them.

It better be a darn cruel and vicious revenge. I hope the show delivers like Nirvana in Fire-style revenge.

Thanks for info. I hope time passes as FSG plots like ML in Nirvana in Fire to deliver retribution to his numerous enemies. I need the country to weaken immensely first to reveal the incompetence of the new emperor. Though I don’t really want FSG to become emperor either.

Same. The show is a cycle of revenge and somewhere it has to end but I hope not unsatisfactorily.

By the way, ML looks kind of sick or weakened after ‘saving’ FL. I just hope this isn’t a BE.
