I think this is it for me!!! My folks are rioting!!! They refuse to watch this version. Every few minutes my mom…
What in particular is the problem with this version. Just curious here ? Script does not follow true story? Cast for characters not suitable, eg Rong and YangKang not true to the essence of the character they are portraying? Production quality, director’s interpretation, aesthetics of drama? Just trying to understand why some are not comfortable with this version.
Good: Better/Less frustrating Guo Jing, 7 Idiots of Jiangnan, tries to fix some terrible miscommunication driven…
Wouldn’t it be just great to get a new version that was as good as the 1983 version with acceptable cast to fit the complexity of each well known character. Thats why I am watching 2 at the same time, enjoying scenes and characters from both versions as the story is iconic.
I have never watched any of The Condor Heroes released to the end due to boredom of character choices and I must admit this version has kept me interested to at least ep 21. I therefore can’t believe what a despicable character YangKang is. The lies and deceptions amongst them and how does Heretic Huang who is supposed to be super smart, tough and amongst the best believe some of the lies he is told in this drama ? Well I am sticking with this version now because I want the full story. 2017 version has been nearly word for word with this one up to the remote Island shipwreck. How does this version compare with other versions out there like 1989 and 2007 ( I dropped that one)?
I am on ep 11. Yes I am enjoying the show but the FL’s character is getting in my nerves. The way she is running…
Yes standard FL character clone, causes trouble, hates the ML, is self righteous and then falls in love. Just here for LYX gracefulness and his martial arts moves. Ignoring FL, however dont mind the drama.
I dropped this a few days ago and came back to it. Lucky I did, I am really enjoying the cast especially on peach blossom island and then the dynamics of characters trying to save Ouyang Ke on the shipwreck island. Yes LYF S2 will be my no 1 choice or viewing after The Double but actually this version of LOH is not too bad.
At first I thought this wasn't my cup of tea since I usually prefer my historicals to be epic, mostly serious…
I feel the same about LYX, he is graceful in costume, great character work in anything he does and excellent martial artist because if his ballet background, I don’t ever miss his dramas and TantaiJin was portrayed so well by him, however my favourite will always be RunYi from Ashes Of Love.
7: No thoughts, I honestly thought while emotional it was dumb. 8: The guards vs investigators (yawn) masked dude…
Excellent synopsis of episodes so far and felt exactly the same with each episode, I have snorted with unforeseen humour a few times myself. Really looking forward to next episodes after ep 12 👍
