Ok, I'm having a really hard time to stay focus watching this drama. I had problem on ep.1 and ep.2. And…
Sounds like this type of dialogue heavy, puzzle thriller is not your ideal drama type, actually. This takes a lot of concentration to understand what's going on. Very well written, but complex, which not everybody wants to deal with on TV.
I'd like to share my theories from the given clue on ep 24, so if you don't want to know the possible…
I'll totally agree about some of this - if HJ does end up w/WS, then he CANNOT BE the father of Ji Soon. Since Ji Soon has that little trainee/debut idol girl following him around (who is NOT a byotch - important point there) then I'm thinking that there will be something like what you are describing.
Plus, although everything HJ wrote in his notebook after the timeslip was showing up in the one in the present (proving that HJ DOES return to the past) there were things in that notebook (the MODERN one) that were NOT there the last time we saw it & aren't in HJ's notebook. THAT's a big clue!
I love YSY so if they finagle it so that Boo Hee gets together w/adorable manager, JH turns out to be THEIR son, & YSY's character gets the girl - in a LOGICAL, understandable way - then I'm happy :D
This is NOT your usual cliche drama, people. No clear-cut '1st lead/2nd lead M/F', no romance - instead it is a suspenseful thriller, with the detective/dad looking for his child despite the internal shenanigans (NOT really the focus of this drama BTW) & the tangled web that caused the child to be abducted in the first place. Believe me, all the nonsense about not liking what one of the iffy characters looks like is totally besides the point here. Yang Se Jong is giving an awesome performance, our detective and his buddies are giving spot-on professional performances as expected of such veteran actors, the writing is amazing and the story unpredictable. If you like thrillers, suspense, and puzzles, this is a great drama. If not, leave it.

I knew Sewon's gonna get in trouble sooner or later because of her feelings for Siwan. He's psychotic…
This is a very very good depiction of a psychopath AND of a sociopath (daddy dearest). Sonnyboy does NOT have himself under control at all (ie he's the psycho....) - what really needs to happen is DADDY needs to figure out what his son is LOL Best kind of revenge, that.... Anyway, of course Sewon was fooled - that's these characters' specialty. Every MET one? They are devastatingly convincing. I was MARRIED to a sociopath & although he failed miserable at his attempts to gaslight me, I really had NO idea what the #$%#$ was wrong until several years after we divorced! I knew enough to dump him but not what his problems really were. They are TOTAL con artists. So that child is not being stupid, she's being manipulated & played with.
I wanna watch this, but I've been hearing bad comments about it so far. Is it worth watching?
It's cute, silly, cheesy, with some beautiful scenery & fantasy shots - plus LJH :D It's not serious nor realistic. If you like fantasy fusions & need to put your brain on hold this is a great little drama so far :D
City Hunter is not a romance. Sorry. It HAS one IN it, but it's an old manga, made into anime & film (Jackie Chan no less) & then finally got a Korean remake (well, a prequel). It's a compelling action/revenge drama w/some romance thrown in for good measure.
Pinocchio - sorry, great story, loved the drama, that boy got our girl to actually PARTICIPATE in a kiss - fantastic :D
Love Me If You Dare also wasn't much of a romance - it was a Chinese police procedural w/again a romantic interest thrown in the pot.
As for Playful Kiss - good lord I agree - except those two deserved each other. HE had Aspergers far as I can tell, w/asshat thrown in (and it's F#$#$ KIM HYUN JOONG I'm talking about who is my ultimate Korean bias, so those are strong words) - while she as you said is totally an idiot stalker girl. I've not liked ANY of the incarnations of this - the manga/the anime/the Japanese dramas & remakes. Why'd I watch it? Ah, KHJ of course.....
Every single day I refresh this page... and ratings are dropping... and dropping... and dropping... I guess I'll…
Pffft. Ratings on this site mean nothing. Some of the reviews do, depending on who's writing them. But if you are so easily swayed, too bad for you. I hope historical fantasies aren't your thing, cause you'll miss out.
Question: Why do you guys think Queen for Seven Days is not performing well in Korea. To me, ratings don't…
You know, Jinj b, it's actually entirely non-productive to bash shows other people obviously like in order to boost the one YOU like. Just talk about why you like THIS show.
GraceLee, her 'descriptions' of the other two shows are completely erroneous, BTW
I just started and I'm already caught up! Give me ill-fated lovers, a sympathetic villain, chemistry, jealousy,…
I've only watched one episode so far because I've just not been in the mood for a tragic story - but it sounds like this might be a good drama to watch. I do enjoy a well-done tragedy :D
Geurae, really, don't make yourself more ridiculous. I do agree that there ARE historical works of fiction that totally warp real history (mostly for propaganda purposes) that still manage to be masterpieces in their own right - but unless a writer is Shakespeare it's not a recommended strategy to change well-known historical facts in a serious historical work of fiction - because it destroys the suspension of disbelief vital to any work of fiction. The audience HAS to be willing to believe in the internal logic of the work in order to enjoy it. I gather that you are NOT a student of literature - which can be said for so many posters here (and to be fair so many people period).
You are correct that my stating my credentials online means nothing to those who are used to being lied to - I'll just stick to being able to demonstrate my abilities at critical reasoning and literary knowledge in my posts, shall I?
