Oh, really? Did we actually watch the same drama? Every single episode had a new twist. There were tons of speculation - on message boards as well as by the actual characters in the drama - about what ran that interface between the two worlds. I'll accept that you may think the whole final conclusion left a lot of explanations out, that some felt the twists made no sense, etc. But to say this drama had no twists and was draggy? That is simply not supported by the 'text' so to speak.
I appologize all his fans but Jong Suk was really bad on this role (i'm still on ep 3 though) He gives his lines…
I admit I really get annoyed at inaccurate, unsubstantiated comments like Lilith's. WHAT in the WORLD is she talking about? I don't have a clue myself.
It seems that @Raincat and @TeleriFerchNyfain are the ones who keep commenting and defending this drama and they…
Oh, that's adorable. No, I'm not the only person who liked this drama, nor is Raincat. I have nothing against SUBSTANTIATED opinions even if I don't disagree. It is the outright statements based on who knows what that I have a problem with. People who said this drama was boring, for instance. I mean really? The credible critics point out that it was so fast-paced that it left explanations in the dirt - a fair critique. BlaBla100, for instance, feels it went too much on plot & not on character. I feel the balance was ok, but I understand her/his opinion. I'm not ranting about it, notice. Eihyn said something very similar, and had an interesting little curve that she compared with 9:9 Times Travel.
So no, I certainly don't expect everyone to love every drama I do, nor do I think that my opinion is the only one that counts. But OMG don't get on here, spout off nonsense that has nothing to do with the show in question and then insult ME! That's a guarantee that I will tell you exactly what I think of your faulty logic, dear.
Draggy? I understand people who find this drama incomprehensible, or too twisty - those who think the story-telling is too jerky, even those who hate the whole concept. But those few who insist it DRAGS???? is BORING???? Yeah. You just simply can't follow the story, dear. You don't understand it. Cause the one thing this drama is not, is draggy LOL

Oh, dear, I'm sorry, I'm laughing here....LOL Let me see - your opinion is that LJS is the problem with this drama (really? based on???) but you've only see three episodes?
Okey dokey, then. I guess I know what YOUR opinion's worth. Not much...
it was bad, it was fake, and at the end it was as if the actors were forcing themselves to look natural .... good…
So, Dramaaddict1207, I see you missed that beautifully apt metaphor put forth by Raincat about the writers of W not cooking the burgers and handing them to you on a platter? Now you want various commenters to do that for you?
LOL just cook them your self, honey!
It's interesting how I thought the ending wasnt well presented but not to the extent described by commenters here.…
I have to agree about this not being REAL hard SF - but then what KDrama really is? SF is pretty much my go-to genre (along w/murder mysteries) elsewhere. But SF in KDramas is, well, as you put it, more fantastic than science-based. It's more speculative fiction centered around unexplained weirdness. Signal comes to mind - fabulous drama, very well done, raises some fascinating issues, but WTF makes that walkie-talkie work? This one as well - great existentialist questions about the nature of reality and one's connection to created fictions/characters, but very hazy on the mechanics of said interface between the worlds. 9:9 Times Travel - again, great premise, thought-provoking treatment, but INCENSE STICKS? I mean, really?
Soo Bong's glasses w/no lenses (a real fashion thing in SK now, go figure) is a really great metaphor for this!
This drama ain't even worth to rant over. So bad. 4/10 for me, only because I do admit that even though I hated…
You 'insulted' me in the same way I 'insulted' you, okay? You are ranting about this drama, but you are making wild, unsupported accusations about it.
I'm so sorry, but if you want to make intelligent comments, ie CRITIQUES, about creative works, that will be worth listening too rather than just you spouting off and wasting bandwidth - then yes you do need to both present your arguments in a logical manner, and then support them with examples from the work itself. You did no such thing.
Bad drama? Really? WHY? No answer from you. Only blind fans like it? What supports that nasty little slur? Oh, nothing. Wasting your time? Well, you've spent a portion of it ranting away here - I personally prefer to continually repeat my reasonings when I do that, in order to be understood. You don't - well then expect to be seen as illogical.

Because you didn't give any references or reasons for hating this drama at all - you just said 'oooh it's bad' with no explanations. That's insulting to all of us who loved it, to the writers, to the actors. Now some people who were disappointed in the drama (read the comments) give REASONS for it. That deserves respect.
This drama was indeed much deeper than the average - it had a very existential theme. The acting certainly was excellent, the storyline intelligent, and the theme very thought-provoking.
I'm so sorry that you think you are the only one with the right to judge others. I find you spiteful and ridiculous - your opinons are therefore obviously not worth the reading.
OK - there are a lot of disappointed people complaining in this forum - but I do believe there would have been no matter what the ending was for this drama.
Bottom line, this had twists and turns up till the very end, and could not be predicted. Following the logic of the two worlds took some effort, although the clues were there. So for those that DON'T like to analyze their entertainment, who like everything served up on nice little platters, who want detailed explanations given them instead of ferreting them out themselves, this is NOT the drama for you!
Oh come on! When will the k-drama industry realize to end a story where it should end and not drag it until the…
OMG are you insane? No, this drama had a perfect number of episodes - in fact could have had more. You know what is too many episodes? 10 seasons of Supernatural, that's what.
I liked the ending but... I have so many questions. I wish it would've been at least 15 minutes longer to explain…
Oh no I'm NOT way off topic about the theme of this drama! There's an EXCELLENT essay on that very topic over at one of the KDrama blogs.
The 'problem' of how Kang Chul will exist in the 'real' world is NOT being discussed all over the internet, by the way - only a very few people are having any kind of hard time understanding how he might forge a new 'false' identity. There are multiple questions about the ending of W but not so much about this one point.
to be honest I felt little disappointed by this drama... When I started watching it was sooo good, so unpredictible…
This drama could have had either ending & still been very effective. Although I fail to understand why people keep saying (here & on other boards) that he couldn't live in the 'real' world. Why not? His parallel world was almost identical, he's got the computer skills to create a false Identity, plus the money (from his doctor GF/wife who also happens to be rich webtoon writer's heir). So of course he can live with her. Bottom line, the real theme of this drama is the nature of reality vs fantasy, as well as free will vs predestination. I found it compelling.

HERE is a blog about the existential thematic elements in W - I totally agree and think it very thoughtful and insightful: http://www.samsoondowntherabbithole.com/2016/09/w-isnt-crazy-its-just-philosophy.html
