"he discovered what being a character actor is all about" and didn't hesitate to say giving one's all, like so…
Why are you the way you are !?

Did he ever hurt you personally or sumthing? Like enough to bring him down over an article tht highlights what could be his big break project after over 2 decades being around in the entertainment industry?

Just saw a post on X the presscon of Mark Chao's latest movie premiere at Cannes festival, with him looking all chill with his shades on the entire time, i instantly thought his entire vibe & gesture looked like Lee Sun Gyun, and here i am, literally less than half a min ago went straight from Zhang Zifeng's mdl page to here, upon learning abt her upcoming work, which was apparently an adaptation of My Mister, co-starring alongside the man himself.. 😅

Ma gurl, Zhang Zifeng will do just fine with this role. Am sure of it. Her performance never not solid. 😊

I'm watching this drama on Netflix and I'm on episode 11. I'll watch it until the end because I'm not watching…
You sounded like you had at least once written/directed a tv series, or could confidently create a better one.

Just because this drama wasn't to your liking does not mean it's equally terrible for others.
If it comforts them, what made you think you could say otherwise.

A slice of life story IS supposed to be slow paced to begin with.
If you're looking for a high octane plot, then you literally missed the tags about this series from the get go. You only got yourself to blame so to speak.

Probably DramaOtaku? You have to apply and get approved to be in it. If anyone knows anywhere else other than…
True this.

Had been seeing people referring to Do for most J-movies & doramas before i finally checked it out & went to their website, but once i got to their registration page..i felt dejected even before i set up an account.

There were like 20 steps of them, and the language they used to inform us all that felt somewhat arrogant to me..as if they dared me to not even trying coz i would never be good enough to be their member..

Literally felt like i was auditioning for a single spot of a nationwide search of the next big thing in the universe.

The website isn't friendly at all.
I've seen many other people freely & openly shared links of J-projects that they'd subbed themselves here on multiple mdl pages, both pro subber & regular dorama audience alike, purely out of their love for J-movies & doramas, with no terms & conditions included.b

But drama otaku !?
They made me instantly lose interest in watching upon looking at their registration process alone.

Title Viva La Vida
Teresa Li (Li Gengxi) & Peng Yuchang are now officially on Zhou Dongyu & Jackson Yee levels, respectively.

Them both brought their A++ game through this project..they just doubled down their acting prowess & tripled it with immense, raw emotions..
Even without words, they could make you feel their internal struggles.

Another masterpiece from Director Han Yan. Brava!

Person River Huang
Literally minutes ago i was suddenly reminded of his role in Copycat Killer, and was again impressed by his scene with the female doctor, while thinking he seemed familiar, and then my mind went straight to the role of Lee Moon's character's co-worker in The Victims Game..and checked the cast list, and i slowly screamed to find out out they were portrayed by the same actor..

Whoaaa..i knew it from the first time i saw his character being questioned by Kris Wu's prosecutor role in Copycat killer that he was an exceptional actor, and that particular scene of his with Alice Ko, alongside his other scene with the actual killer in that specific room, cemented that.

His eyes are def actors' eyes.

Now, this is what i called equally proper lead actor & actress pairing..
Acting department is guaranteed done smoothly.

Given their respective personal acting skills & the plot described above, Jeon Yeo Been & Namkoong Min tandem here gives out the vibe of Seo Hyun Jin & Kim Dong Wook when they worked together on You are My Spring.

I hope there'll be slight comedy as well, since the central theme of the show seems to be full on emotionally heavy.

My thought exactly when i noticed the font..Cha Seung Won's Mr. Ma was like one of the nastiest villain characters…
Night in Paradise was one of few well made noir K-movies out there.
Brilliant performances by everyone involved, even down to the supporting roles.

My Name impressed me so much with both its intricate plot & the fighting sequence..i hope this one lives up to its noir nature from beginning to the. very end.

anyone know if that gangster is yoon park or ahn se ho? time stamp {0:38}ps: the poster and title design looks…
My thought exactly when i noticed the font..

Cha Seung Won's Mr. Ma was like one of the nastiest villain characters i've seen in any K-movies, with the integrity of a gentleman.

Oh dear..it won...whoaaa.. i was so bummed because The Land of Morning Calm lost in the main categories, i just…
Ji Seok Jin was the sole reason everyone's blood pressures flared up from day one 🤣

One of my faves would be when they were having having breakfast upon arriving at Lao Cai station, Sechan said that if it weren't for the camera, Hwang Jeong Min probably would've hit Seoksam at a certain point of that time..
Everyone just simultaneously laughed with their mouths closed, but slowly nodded in unison..

And their sleeper train journey..whoaa..i want that to happen at least once in my life as well.

But truth be told, as annoying as Ji Seok Jin can get with his antics, i can't even imagine what this trip would've been like without him.
I mean, he could seem 'shameless' (as Yoo Jae Suk himself jokingly put i ^^) to many but in all honesty if he wasn't that bold with his negotiating skill, the entire journey would've taken a drastic turn since everyone but him was like the most introverted introvert out there, they would've broken in a cold sweat over asking even the simplest question, not because they didn't understand English, but because they were too shy to do it in the first place.

True that.
Their conversations flowed naturally like the cameras werent even there..

Another thing i also like abt this show is how i got to see how humble Hwang Jeong Min was as a person, the gentleman is one of Korea's finest & most accomplished actors of all time, but not even once he ever acted like a celeb during their 3 day journey.

When my days were long & rough, i went back to Punghyanggo, so i could begin to smile again & laugh a little albeit briefly.
^^

I hope they'll go on another Punghyanggo trip next year.

This.
They should def meet again before this year's Pinggyego Awards because pretty sure there were more stories than the ones that made to the final cuts..

Who knew Sechan would be the most mature member while Hwang Jeong Min apparently was a true foodie, & Seoksam was a pro negotiator ^^

What were some of your fave bits of their trip?
I truly wanted to try the menu they had for their first lunch after getting off the train..
looks like a legit comfort food.

My understanding is that the rookie award is open to actors who have not had significant roles in more than three…
I remember Yoo Jae Suk also won his first best rookie award in like 2 decades at one tv awards show after debuting as Yoo San Seul few years ago, his alter ego trot singer for one of his shows..he himself couldn't even believe he received an award as a newbie for that, and also brought home daesang trophy that very same evening as Yoo Jae Suk ^^'

Well-deserved to everyone one of the winners. I'm just here for Punghyanggo winning Best Entertainment Award.…
Oh dear..it won...whoaaa..
i was so bummed because The Land of Morning Calm lost in the main categories, i just scrolled away afterwards without even paying attention to the entertainment section..until i found your comment..

Seok Sam would def bring this up next time he comes on Pinggyego..
Punghyanggo truly deserves the award, the show felt like it took me along with the cast in 4 day vacation to Sapa filled with nothing but extra, constant laughter each time.. ^^

I've finished subbing this.😊💕 I'm still studying Japanese, and English ain't my first language, so it might…
Hello there..i;ve watched the movie, and i gotta say you did exceptionally well with the translation, because i happened to also download it in my native language subbed by professional subber, and i both yours & theirs are like 90% identical..
You should be proud of your Japanese skill, i'd say all those trouble you had gone through paid off.

For anyone who comes here & is looking for fully subbed (Eng) of the movie, do not hesitate to check out @Kaede's link because it's perfectly synced & timed..She did an amazing job with it. And it's in super hd quality.
