Title The Rise of Ning Spoiler
Question for you. In the novel was the Duke's relationship with her mother consensual? Was he the one who kidnapped…
She was not. He confirmed that. But I believe in the end, she did not hate him, according to Mama Zheng's thoughts when she finally saw the man when things were getting revealed.

Yeah, sometimes they try to align the 1 ep a day with the weekends so people will have a chance to catch up but…
Yes it is quite weird. You can see there are two consecutive days where they scheduled one episode on both days instead of alternating it. Wickedness for no reason.

so in drama writer made him weak sickly person?
Yes. He and LSY had the same master and they both learned martial arts. But while he focused on martial arts, LSY focused on being a scholar. Dao Yan was an excellent shot. He did not miss. And his weapon of choice was a spear, instead of a sword. He was really cool and he was revered in the world.
He also had some entanglements with LJX, where he worked with him in the war and earned the title of God of war. But LJX did not know that Dao Yan had a relationship with LSY by being fellow disciples.

Thank you!!! I am so tired of his storyline with the fl. The whole misunderstanding could have been cleared if…
What interaction? How was it weak? I'm not sure if we're referring to the same thing?

it is like that in novel but they changed it a lot from the novel so, Madam Chen maybe the one for the drama?
Yeah, it may be her. But it also feels like it isn't because of how they have been trying to make her the suspect and because of how Mama Zheng acted. They kept the fact that all Madam Gu's trusted maids resigned and Mama Zheng still left quickly. So maybe they will follow the novel here.

I just realised that Dao Yan is another character that they completely rewrote. Him and LSY.

Dao Yan was the famed God of War. He had excellent martial arts skills, but wandered around like a Buddhist monk. He looked kind and compassionate on the surface, but was cruel, and it was such an interesting mix because his Buddhist journey made him have no attachments to the world. So while LSY and LJX had Yining as their weakness, he did not have any such weakness, and could execute at will for the goal.

LJX does not have the same justification for his obsession and behaviour as in the novel. Not to the extent where you could somehow explain his madness. So I hope that they don't take it that far too. I wouldn't be able to wrap my head around it.

He was not in his right mind when he kidnapped her actually. I think he was high on deer blood or something. But for the time he stayed with her, like two weeks, he fell for her and did not marry any wife until Yining convinced him to. It was something of a case of if they had met before she got married.
But he spoiled Yining silly. If she wanted the moon, she would have it the very next minute. And she took to him somewhat quickly. Blood was thick.

I’m at episode 18 and I hope the prince is not the end game for Luo yi xiu. His actions gives me weird feeder…
Only Lin Mao seems to really care about her well being. Her mother would feed her till she was on the brink of death if it could help her cause.

Ziyu's statement about love was just the worst thing for inexperienced Mei Lin to hear. And because ML had been confused, she could not even sift her words through personal experience with heavy consideration on the circumstances surrounding most of MRJH's actions.

The painting was not an elaborate show of love. If he does not even do that much, then what does Ziyu expect as the standard to show feelings? Should there be no actions at all? Just tell me you love me and then go about your day like I'm every other person.
Then ML could not remember that a lot of his loud actions were a part of their plan to fool others. So even if those ones were insincere, there were other things he did out of sight, unasked, that he normally should not have cared about. Eg, curing her lost sense of taste. She does not need to think he loves her. She could have just come to the conclusion that he at least cared about her well-being even as a pawn. By the way, I'm not blaming her here, this is in reference to my earlier statement about her being too confused to sift properly.

Yining was so cute haggling for the shop in ep 17. And LSY's face lmaoo. ZWY in that scene reminded me of when he was acting like a dandy in Are You the One lol.

The costume department did an excellent job.

Yeah totally agree, its the fact that it satisfies the prince right now. However, imagine after he marries her…
Yes. This relationship will be terrible for her. Now the issue is if her mother would see all these things. The woman is shallow and a bit short sighted. She looks too much at status and does not consider things as thoroughly as grandma. Maybe she'll come to the same conclusion because it is Yixiu and not Yiyu being considered.

Though I totally get your point, I think it is more innocent and harmless than it seems firsthand. I think he…
That is why I said it is mildly concerning and is turning into a fetish. If he keeps at it, it'll be a problem. But to be with her, he also needs to grow up. In fact, all three of them do, and Lin Mao is currently in the lead based on his recent behaviour.

The crown prince is evil but his bow is too fine. What a gorgeous instrument. The next best is MRJH's bow. I really like the ends of his especially.

Am I the only one that does not ship Yixiu and that guy that may be a prince? His behaviour is actually mildly concerning and at the moment, he is really not good for her. He likes her because he likes watching her eat and it helps him work up an appetite. That is turning into a fetish. So he'll pile her with food, regardless of her condition or consideration for her person, order the same kind of food, and eat it as she eats. So is she supposed to eat herself to obesity or illness to help him with his appetite problems?

Yixiu does not have self control when it comes to food and that is bad. She will eat what strangers give to her and she will eat it even if it is raw because she does not want to waste it. She will eat constantly and mix different kinds of foods because she likes it and because she was restricted by her mom. And she will eat until she gets indigestion. Other than the fact that Lin Mao is good for controlling her diet to not cause her harm, while allowing her to still enjoy food, she needs to learn self control by herself and for herself. She's not a child anymore.

I'm more concerned about how her feelings can change from this strong "brother-sister" relationship. I think that…
In the novel, her feelings actually developed after they got married. It made sense because she was much younger in the novel. She was basically a child, so those things had not occurred to her. Even for Shenyuan, he had only a brotherly love for her in the beginning. The type of care and attention and fondness drama Shenyuan is showing towards drama Yining right now is how it was in the novel. He used to pat her head a lot and they held hands almost everywhere they went.
But because they changed the relationship dynamics with a change of ages in the drama, it now has a more romantic undertone. Which if they continue, will end up really weird, especially in the eyes of their family.

In the novel, it was like Shenyuan committed a crime by falling for his sister, even though they were not blood related. But because of the circumstances and how everything went down with her real identity, it was only the Luo family that had the thought, because they were the ones that knew and watched them grow up together. Now they have a bigger audience and are older, so it is weirder.
Right now, you can actually see some romantic tension between them. At the forefront of Yining's mind though, you can tell he is just her brother. But there are undercurrents a bit noticeable. I hope they handle the transition very well.
