He lied to her about who he was, but not his personality. He became more genuine with her after that. You are speaking like the people they were with each other was completely fake. They did not hold different entities. Yes there is a lot of deceit about their real identities, but not about their likes and dislikes, their approaches to life and other things.

She can't be the primary wife of Ziyu because he is already engaged to Miss She. And Ziyu needs her father's help, so he can't risk it rn. She can't be the primary wife of CXZ because of her reputation. It is possible to mostly hide the fact that she is Lu Wen, and leave it as speculation. But in the novel, her father was executed for treason and her brother was exiled. Her mother passed away and her family ran an escort business which has dwindled. So her background is not only below par, it is tainted. Then she was taken to Mount Yang (minus her being (Lu Wen), so it is expected that she lost her purity there.

I never said they'd be married by ep 22. I actually doubted it would happen because the rebellion has to happen, the investigation for the ore smuggling, their separation, her reviving her family escort business, being an independent woman, CXZ's injury, his pursuit, before they get engaged, and then go to the capital, then come back and get married. That's why I said it would happen either this week or early next week.

This rebellion should happen alreadyyy. I hope they keep the sequence between CXZ, LMT and Ziyu because LMT is currently really unfit to be his primary wife.

Do you remember when she said that with the way he was, he did not seem to be her type of man. She told him that she doubted that she would have loved someone like him in the past. Then they separated and then reconciled. She told him that she would now like to get to know him again. Know who he is from the beginning. This was also when he was basically done testing if she remembered something. So the two of them went to each other that night with their pillow and blanket. It was their new, more genuine start.

She didn't know the full scope what they were doing. And it was most definitely not because of the poor. She helped some of them, but the money was ultimately for the people on Mount Yang. They benefitted the most and it funded their rebellion.

I have not watched the last few episodes properly, so I don't know if they changed things. But LMT was basically naive. Because of Ziyu, she raised the flag of rebellion and profited the people on Mount Yang. She made money for them and even her uncle regretted leaving her there.
CXZ had to cover for her and her uncle and family and make serious moves to prevent the uncle's name from being brought up as part of the criminals and to shut the mouths of people to prevent her identity and involvement in Mount Yang from leaking. If not the man and his family could have been wiped out and she would have been buried under the terrible reputation. They were risking the entire country for wealth. I think how much of a problem this is will come up later, because it does in the novel. Her real reputation is already struggling because of her family without these.


Tbh, just for the singular fact that he saved her life and has spent so much on treating her tendons, which he did not have to do just to use her, he does not deserve a blood bath as revenge. Even CXZ's aunt saw that he was using expensive and specially assigned medication for her treatment. She can wield a dagger now because of him. Even bandits should not be that ungrateful.

In the novel, Physician Zhao liked LMT and made a move when he thought CXZ abandoned her lol. He used to look at her with puppy eyes and thought she was gentle and calm and virtuous. Until he found out she was Lu Wen and saw her in action when she came to save him lmaoo.

Please read the novel. I laughed so much reading it. It was so fun.

LMT and CXZ are actually perfectly matched. While she considers little things, he considers the grander picture. He is respectable and orderly (don't really know how to say it) when he fights. She uses trickery and underhanded means lol. So when they put their heads together, they are able to land very solid blows.

LMT better retain her thoughts about Ziyu now that they have made her get her memories so very early. But at the same time, I think she will have to meet him and find out about his engagement to come to that conclusion since they brought this forward.

I agree with you. It made more sense in the novel for her to take revenge on him. Taking revenge on him in the drama makes her a hypocrite, This is why I'm annoyed at the "angst" that is an unnecessary addition.

She was not a saint and was rightly being targeted. It is already miraculous that CXZ does not hate Lu Wen considering all the bandits did. Taking revenge on somebody that saved your life when your colleagues betrayed you and almost killed you is ridiculous. Especially since she would have done the same type of thing. She used very underhanded tactics to mess with CXZ's army in the past. Lying to her and using her has to feel especially painful because it was for 3 years and she was so emotionally invested. But he did not take advantage of her. He did not kiss her or sleep with her no matter what. He deserves credit.

He actually did save her life out of kindness. Unless you believe he is so merciless that he would not save someone that he saw floating in the river with injuries. And he heard about her, but most likely did not see her face. So there was no way he would have known who she was when he first saw her in the water.

That does not make any sense. LMT was being her real self when she was with him. Did CXZ change her personality through her memory loss? It is like saying once you lose your memories, your personality does not really exist. The LMT during amnesia is the LMT she would have been if she did not go to Mount Yang. So even when she gets back her memories of Mount Yang, she only becomes a bit fiercer and more mischievous. But she is still gentle and loving.
And it is the same thing with CXZ. He was his real self with her, although not all of himself. But he slowly started showing her more of his real self, while his character was slowly evolving because of the time he spent with her.
But because they already have a foundation and already know the basics, they are able to evolve with and choose each other when all the cards are on the table.
Their time apart will also be a test for them. They both thought that they could forget each other, but they were unable to. That is why CXZ started chasing her again and she let him, albeit not easily.

Oh and from their fights with each other for 3 years, they can attest to their characters as Lu Wen and Lord Huaiyang the general.

They need to get married either this week or early next week. Their marriage is a major plot point that affects other things after. Marriage is not the happy ending. The story still continues. Lord Huaiyang is not yet safe just because he got married.

Why do people constantly look up the ages of the actors and then come to complain about the age gap as if it were the same in the show? They are ACTORS for crying out loud. Do you want them to only pick up roles where the characters are their exact real life ages? If that does not make sense to do, then why come to complain about the age gap of the actors all the time? As far as one romantic partner is not a minor and the other an adult, then what is the issue? Worse still, there are huge age gaps between so many couples in real life. My country is so rife with them, this doesn't faze me anymore. And I know that it is the same in many other countries in the world.

In the novel, I couldn't even blame him much because he held himself for two years until she almost mistakenly killed him with that aphrodisiac concoction lol. She mistakenly unleashed a starving beast.

Exactly. That's why I said unless they are crazy would they do something so asinine. Cdrama writers though should never be trusted with not ruining a story. I've been burned too many times to give the benefit of the doubt. So I earnestly celebrate miracles lol.

Because there is a 40 episode restriction, they can't cover everything and the second amnesia act was short. It was like in the last 20-30 episodes or less. Now they have changed everything, so they don't need to do that. And the amnesia arcs did not actually stop anything. The novel did not allow revelations and amnesia to drag the story. They did not have angst and revenge for betrayal like people expect. Yes the other person that made the discovery was angry, but because of how much they loved each other, they still cared for and protected each other. And their biggest issues were not even what people make the biggest deal out of.

In the first revelation, CXZ and LMT were more worried about her not being able to be a primary wife. They both knew that with her background, it was unacceptable for it to happen. So plus the pain of the lies, she left. In the discovery of her as Lu Wen, he was angry because she found out before him and didn't tell him. This was after recovering from discovering who she really was. Then she presented divorce papers because she was scared that he did not want her anymore and was disgusted with her. But they fully reconciled in a week.

In the second amnesia, he definitely did not let her go lol. And she was attracted to him, wanted to help him fight their enemies and she had their son to take care of. He was still a small toddler and was distraught without her.

So in everything, they were not really apart, except for the first time, and they still had contact even then.
