I was saying that to explain the comments about CXZ sleeping peacefully and about his guard being down. Also to point something out about her relationship with Ziyu. I know why she made the statement.

You are welcome. He is actually obsessed, but his hands were effectively tied. CXZ effectively blocked him in the beginning and that move made things easier because to have her after that, she'd have to agree, and she absolutely did not. He could not pursue her. So unless the writers are crazy honestly, it should remain about the same. It wasn't really an issue in the novel.

How do you say that CXZ was worse then he did not sell her out, after they were together together, just for power? Did you forget the number of times he was advised, threatened and propositioned to abandon her, divorce her, demote her to concubine, just so that he would be safe or could have a better political career?

Ziyu was afraid of LMT's political power, because the forces on Mount Yang only listened to her and even with the scheming of the old guard on Mount Yang, she still held on to the power. So like you said, he plotted to send her away from the mountain so that she would easily relinquish military power. But did it in such a way as to manipulate her into believing he was innocent and they should be together. He knew her personality about not wanting to share her man, but married so many women for power and still wanted to force her into being by his side when she was engaged. And did not stop trying even after she was married, pregnant and had a son. How in the world can CXZ top this?

You are not refuting my point. And it was not stupid because when CXZ was letting her believe he was her husband (he did not expressly tell her that), it was to catch Lu Wen. Him sleeping peacefully beside her did not happen until after they had spent a long time together and he had seen her kindness and sincerity. It was after he had fallen for her and decided to be with her.
Ziyu on the other hand did what he did even with their romantic relationship. Even after he had known her for years and wanted to be with her and it was actually much worse. His choice was always himself till the end. CXZ's choice was LMT till the end.

I really wish the bloodbath that is expected will not come. We've seen angst so many times, is it a necessary addition in a story originally without it?
But my biggest wish is that they don't send her back to Ziyu. I know it likely won't be for romance, but still. Her never going back to him in any way, even after she got back her memories and forgot CXZ was a special thing about the novel to me. I hope they don't ruin it.

Ziyu never gets over her and tried to win her back till the end. But like I said before, CXZ had to play chess and other games to make sure they were together and others plans to get her did not work. Also, she was never willing to be with him again, so...

Yeah. That was why she left quietly instead. She went back and stayed with her maternal family.

He did not care because he loved her. This was after they got married and had a son. There was no facade to keep going because they were both aware of each other.

In the first situation, her uncle found her and she found out that she was not married to CXZ and that Cui Sui was not his real identity, then she found out who he was. But her uncle withheld vital information about her involvement in Mount Yang because he knew LMT and CXZ loved each other and if they found out who she was, CXZ would do something to LMT (this was his assumption). And LMT had not regained her memories, so she did not know either. But she ended up leaving him and going back to her maternal family (this uncle was her maternal uncle).
Later, CXZ convinced her to get married and everything. Then she found out that she was Lu Wen because she encountered her former subordinates. But she kept the fact from him for long because she was scared their time together would be over. Until someone used the information to goad and threaten CXZ and he investigated and found out. Then they had a fight because she didn't tell him when she found out and then they reconciled.

Later on, she got into trouble and the blood clot in her head shifted and caused her to forget the three years they spent together and remembered everything before then.

There is something that LMT tells Ziyu after she gets back her Mount Yang memories in the novel.




She told him that after she got back her memories that she wanted to find him to hear his explanation about what happened, but she soon abandoned that plan. He asked her why. She told him that it was because although CXZ knew that she had gotten her memories of being Lu Wen and forgot all the time they spent together, when he they slept on the same bed, he slept freely and unguarded like a child. He was not wary of her and did not need to test her because he trusted her and loved her.
That was something she wanted. She did not need someone well off or anything. She just needed someone to love her sincerely, someone that would easily entrust her with his life.

That explains why CXZ's guard is down against her and he is sleeping peacefully. He has been through some and seen how sincere and kind she is. Their future experiences of life and death together only further solidifies this.

Because they love each other and he treated her with affection. In the novel, after she got back her memories of being Lu Wen, she simultaneously forgot about the 3 years of a loving relationship that she spent with CXZ but she still could not help herself. She was still attracted to him and still helped him and helped his army and protected their family. This was an even worse situation than what is happening now.
Unless they change the story, she is not trying to get revenge on him because he did save her. He saved her life and has spent effort, time and money to treat her back to good health. And he was good to her. She knows that the affection is real between them. Also Mount Yang has surrendered and she recognised that he did what he had to do. So her best decision to balance things out was to leave.

So after chasing her several times and convincing her, she agrees to marry him. I also saw clips of them together with her hair up and with expensive jewellery, in a mansion and with elaborate clothes relating to their statuses as prince and princess. So I believe they will get married soon enough.

This is exactly it.

A lot of what happened in the plot was as a result of them being married. Like their marriage was what many of the characters ordered their scheming on. It also was the reason why they could go to a lot of places together. It is a huge plot point. I know that they have changed a lot of important things now, but I'm not sure they will let this one go. We'll see.

They are not meant to have any romantic encounters, but they meet a few times. Most of them meeting was with CXZ as well. Her goals and those of Ziyu are not the same anymore. Not on the surface or deep seated.
Think about it, how is she going to go back to Ziyu when he is now married? Especially after she said what her mom told her about never being a second wife or concubine no matter what, even in poverty or danger.

The decade later is not explained. They only mentioned it in the extra chapters.

She can't go back to Ziyu and won't go back. I think LMT and CXZ will be getting married next week. Them being married is an important plot point.

And they are already in love for real. All the revelations will come as they are together or "fighting"

They removed the comedic undertones from the novel for the reveals to give more angst in the drama. The reveals were somehow like Blossoms in Adversity. She was hurt and mad and left him quietly, but she understood that he did what he had to do and that the affection they had for each other and care they showed was undeniable. I can't even talk about what that CXZ guy did because he was only concerned that she left when they should have been planning their future together Lmao. According to him, they only quarrelled and she should not have still been angry lool. A tool.

In the novel, the day she found out CXZ was lying was the same day he knew that she did and they handled it differently. She did not regain her memories of her past for 3 years, and then when she did, she forgot the memories of the 3 years until over a decade later. But they still loved each other and had kids together the whole time. So it was like I would love you in every situation and choose you in every life. CXZ was always stressed lol, but it was beautiful and funny. And when she found out he was lying and his identity, she still did not know who she really was until much later. Her uncle hid it from her. And CXZ found out so much later too.

I need to stop reading the novel while the drama is still airing. AASTOL and LLTG are the only ones that did not deviate and so did not cause me so much disappointment.
And they need to stop baiting us with the first 10-20 episodes. This is tiring.

I really hope she does not gain her memories of Mount Yang now. That flips the story. I hope it is the memories of her family she regains now instead.

He is actually the crown prince of the previous emperor. But there was a coup in the palace and he barely managed to escape. Loyal ministers protected him. So they set up in Mount Yang and have been plotting to get back the throne. They are the ones that produced Lu Wen, who worked for them to gain money and military might.

I really don't. But I think it was in the double digits chapter. She got pregnant before they got married, although it was after they got engaged. So check from maybe 75 or 80 and after.
