Why did you hate it?

I absolutely loved how it was in Blossoms in Adversity. It surpassed my expectations. But the situation here is extremely different and their personalities are different. But the whole thing was just hilarious to me and executed nicely, so it was so enjoyable to read.

The point of my comment(s) about this is to challenge the current mindset. I did not even reveal anything about what she did. I am telling people to focus on his pov as well and what has been shown or not shown.

The people were wary of them and they did loot. Their actions were not a source of peace to locals and aristocrats because of the tensions with the court.

LMT's beauty is a huge problem lmaooo. The things she and CXZ have to go through because of it.

It seems like they are trying to bypass the pregnancy plot line. I somehow saw this coming, but not the execution.

She is actually not a stupid woman, or she would not have been able to hold power. And she is rightly paranoid. What she is plotting against is something she should rightly plot against, if not she would be a big fool. Coups were very common in those days. CXZ has military might, has literary prowess (he could have also been a scholar, but the former emperor threw out his exam papers when he wrote the imperial exam), is titled and has the favor of the people. He only lacks the desire to rebel and that could change anytime. His army is large, he has no intention of reducing its size, and he is a magnificent strategist.

He is the 9th son of his father. He is completely unrelated to the royal family. His father got the title through his military merits to the kingdom. His father also married multiple women. He had concubines and many other children.

General Shi also has his own army. There are families like that. CXZ's family is one such family, but his family was awarded with extra honours and the title of Prince which can be inherited.

He did what he had to do for the country. The bandits committed so many crimes to the detriment of all the people for years.

he does not need royal blood. He is a Prince in a hereditary title that has the hearts of the people because of his numerous contributions to the country and for the betterment of the lives of the people. And he is a military prince, from a military family and has a large army. He could ally with others to stage a coup and take over the throne if he wants to, much more easily than most other privileged people.

You guys feel bad for LMT, but if you know how bad Lu Wen's crimes are and all the things he has to protect her from as Lu Wen's accomplice, your problem with CXZ may lessen. Remember that apart from what she has done post amnesia, we know absolutely nothing about her past and family. CXZ has to play chess & do all sorts of things just to be with her.

I don't need CXZ to grovel. I need him to be as shameless, etc as he was in the novel lmaooo. The way the novel handled the revelations was unexpected, hilarious and so them.

I absolutely loved this show. So much so that the period thing they did with the fl has been forgiven lol. They had only one misunderstanding where the fl ran home and that was in like the first six episodes and happened for like a week. It was understandable because she did not enter the relationship with feelings after knowing him for a long time, unlike him. She did not know his character and was scared. But she never did it again. She kept her promise not to, even when they faced harder trials. Even when she was insecure because it looked like he was still kinda hung up on his "desirable girl", she was unwilling to let him go. She also went from someone being insecure about her job to gaining confidence in it, realising that she actually loved it and was not staying anymore because she needed to feel stability and worth, and was willing to sacrifice it because logically, with JYH's position and salary, he should have stayed. Her character development was spectacular.

I love how there was no noble idiocy trope. The ml transferred away instead and worked hard to come back. She understood him after they spoke about it and they handled it very well.

TYH was annoying because she liked picking on XXH. Her feelings for and constant pursuit of JYH were not my issues. Neither was I upset about her being a nepo baby. But her attributing everything to her connections was a bad move. Her colleagues would praise her for getting a contract & she'd dampen it by saying she went through her dad. But at least they showed that she was good at work & smart about her career plan. And they did not keep her until the last episode.

Another personal favourite is that he BOUGHT HER A CAR!!! Dramas almost never do this. They make the fl carless even when the ml is a chaebol and even in contract marriage dramas. What do you mean your husband is rich and he cannot get you a new car or give you one of his to drive? Even if you are dating, if it is something you can easily afford to do, won't it make sense to lend your girl one of your cars to drive?

Anyway, this show will enter my favs list because the direction was different and it was well done.

I have noticed that when dramas adapt from a novel, many like making the beginning part, like the first 10-20 episodes to closely follow the novel. Then they just make a wide deviation that always comes unexpectedly to me. I have not watched today's episodes, but from the previews for tomorrow, it seems they changed things. I'm fine if its not too much and they don't drop the ball.
