In the novel, JY actually sacrificed two of his fingers to feed a corpse demon in order to save NY in the filthy valley. And he did it without thinking twice. So for the rest of the story, he had mechanical fingers replace his lost fingers. That was one of the descriptions of him that NY heard that made her suspect he was on the whale ship.
YY did not become their sworn brother until they were about to enter the filthy valley. He was after the blood phoenix hair pin that MZT had (YY had a special talent of being able to find treasured items) and so disguised himself as JY. Then MZT made him swear brotherhood in a temple and got him so drunk that his illusion started falling apart and that is how JY and NY found them lmaoo.
MZT actually died in filthy valley. He was never the son of the dragon emperor, but ended up being a prince of the Chen state and the heir of the dragon emperor. He died by getting his head severed and the hair pin transformed into a phoenix that was so sad, fixed him back together and carried him unconscious to Chen state. The hairpin was a betrothal present that the dragon emperor gave someone(spoiler) and it coming back like that was a heartbreaking thing. And it was because of the phoenix that he became a prince and because of his root and powers that he became the heir. It was like fate because his root matches Chen state perfectly and he got the hairpin by chance even when he did not want it. He was also going to give it to his precious little sister NY as her dowry.
JY actually did not get possessed by a demon. He stated practicing the demon and ghost cultivation. And he had all his emotions and desires, which was not meant to be so. He should have given them up to become more powerful and when he became so much more powerful with them, it was a thing of fear because of what he would want to do, being influenced by them.
Honestly, Queen of Tears (a kdrama) was the place where I saw the wealth disparity done perfectly and realistically in marriage. In a situation where the fl is so much wealthier than the ml. It made sense that the ml would move into the house that the fl owned and that his Italian suits and shoes and designer watches would be bought with family money. The next show I can remember about something like this is Hometown Chachacha (kdrama).
Weiyi is a chaebol daughter and it seems like she is the only child of her parents. So all that wealth would be hers. She is also currently living in her own home apart from her family home. I think QY should learn to let go of what he obviously cannot do. It will not make him any less of a man. He should save of course and be prudent with money, but he should understand that there will always be a very big limit to what he can provide for her. He's a policeman, not a business man or even someone in JYH's position. Till he retires, his salary is going to increase as he gets promoted, but it will not be extravagant.
I hope he will come to the conclusion the ml in hometown chachacha came to. He was unable to buy the jewellery the fl really really wanted and waited for, as easily as she bought it, so he instead made her a jewellery box to keep all her expensive jewellery that she liked inside. And it was endearing to see that she also made an effort into understanding him and their situation by selling the jewellery even before she received the box for it lol. But now, she can buy the things she likes and can afford guilt free and he can give her meaningful things he can afford without feeling bad.
I just also remembered you are my glory with Yang Yang and Dilireba. He struggled with his financial situation in the case of what he could do and not do for his parents, especially if one of them got really ill and it involved hefty medical bills. This then also partially affected his relationship with the fl. But he got over it. And in the end, she took over his wardrobe for example, and he was so proud lol. She splurged on herself and on him and it did not make him feel inferior or insecure.
I hope this is how they conclude things for this couple.
@SaydooIn that department only Rao Jing knows but Zhao Fang Gang suspected
ZFG is always suspecting. But his suspicions were because of the hairband for TYH and because of the hospital visit for TXN. So it is not because JYH is showing TXN undue favor and it is not even consistent suspicion lol.
I'm so so so happy they did not make us wait until the last episode for her to get regularised. So happy. And I really like the fact that the colleagues don't suspect them of being together because it means that he has been treating her quite fairly in the workplace.
I'm really happy that JYH has TXN and her family. They really integrated into each other's lives very well. Her parents took care of his mom so well and so did she. And now that he has lost his mom, he has very strong support to lift him up. It is such a blessing.
So is the FL gonna have to kill the ML now since his a demon?
No actually, she also has a demon nature because her maternal grandmother was from the demon clan. Even YY is a demon. Her mission is not to kill all demons but remove evil.
Aside from jealous sabotaging and delulu college crush, the reason why Tang Yu Hui is not a very likeable character…
Exactly. A prouder nepo baby has never existed. I want my kids to enjoy wealth and ample resources so that they will have an easier way in the world and many experiences. But they have to learn hard work and being proud of putting in their best effort. If you can only rely on your parents, how long will you be able to maintain what they leave to you when they are gone?
I actually really really like this show. It is one of my favourite ones this year. And I'm actually happy I was discouraged from reading the novel because of the paywall. I do not have to get extra frustrated about stuff. I hope they keep it up till the end.

JiuJiu is going to have to grovel well because he has told sooo many lies in this short time lmaoo
