I think the essential difference between PWX and LR, concerning their relationship is that in the past, LR knew that PWX liked her. But she also thought that he loved QZZ in the past and was now carrying it over. But at least she knew how he felt about her when things were good.
PWX on the other hand did not even know about his own feelings, not to talk of knowing how LR felt about him. Then SRQ came into the picture and he was sure that was who she liked, and even in the present, he thinks it's the same thing. I don't think he has ever thought that he had her heart. That's why he told her that if she truly cared for him, he'd give her his life.

The SRQ hate on twitter is CRACKING ME UPP. There is an account that keeps calling him an idiot lmaoooooo.

I did not misunderstand. I basically stated that he is doing the same kind of thing he did in the past, which is to support another Prince that is not Li Chuan.

At the beginning of the preview for the next episode, I was like if these two don't stop talking about QZZ and SRQ in respect to each other, I will reach in and wring their necks myself. Then it got to the good part lol. Now I can't wait.

So because they both do not have fathers, they are similar? LR does not look down on PWX. She acted harsh towards him because of what he did to her in their past life and especially because of the fact that he killed her, to her own understanding. She has not been the same since they resolved that. She is also a pampered and the most revered princess, do you expect that she'd bend down to dust his shoes off or fix his coat to seem humble? She is not trying to manipulate him, hit him, humiliate him and taunt him, and all the other things Wenning did to SYR. They bicker on even footing and equally tease each other, armed with everything they know and experienced in their past lives. There is literally no similarity.

They are not at all similar. What do you even mean? The only similarities are that Wanning and Li Rong are eldest princesses. The end. Does that then mean that all dramas with Princesses as the female lead are similar to Wanning and Shen?

Wanning was not cherished by her father and was sent to be a political hostage. She endured tremendous hardship and came back a broken woman who then took a negative path. Li Rong is not in the same boat. Her father does not hate her, but he is very very wary of the power she has because of her mother's family. But he is also willing to do sacrifice her to make sure it does not grow. LR has not suffered hardship and is not broken.

Shen Yurong lost his father due to injustice and worked his way up from being a man of low birth to being a principal graduate. PWX is already of noble birth. His father also did not suffer any injustice and die. He is poor because his uncle is not the head of the family, since his father died, and does not care about him, so he does not benefit from family resources. He was already recognised for his intelligence and was already an 8th rank official, before he met LR and before they got married, even in their past life. That is why he was even a candidate on the emperor's list. The only similarity between these two is that they are men.

SRQ is definitely living his second life as well. They basically shouted it at us today. And he is also plotting to back the other choice that is not Li Chuan up. But this is conflicting because he also has feelings for LR.
PWX is truly a rascal. he schemes with everything he does, except his feelings for LR. You can really see the difference between the present PWX and LR and their past selves.
Li Chuan is too pure and adorable right now. The plotting and scheming required for his position is just not him and it's so sad to see him now and compare it to what it turned him into in the original timeline.

But if you could clearly see him as a 40 year old, and he is different now, wouldn't it also be normal to think he is doing it on purpose? It is definitely not about his acting being that he nailed the past already.
Even his realisation about this "2nd life" was different from Li Rong's. I think that was very telling about how different they are and how they see things. The guy was plotting from jump. And from the flashbacks of the past, when he was young, he is actually different from then. He is quite sure of himself now, not awkward, not nervous, not hesitant. He looks like someone that is fully planning to use this gift of a younger body and foresight to his full advantage. Li Rong wanted to use this life to live for herself and especially avoid PWX. Now it looks like she's still repeating that past.
In the past, LR was weary from life and their marriage, while PWX, minus whatever he felt about their marriage, was quite focused on protecting her by her side and protecting the people.

What even pisses me off the most about that trope is that the actress never ditches her eye make up and sometimes the lip makeup is too eye catching as well. Like please try to explain to the audience too, even though we know that you are female. Try to fool us.

I kinda saw that one. So I didn't even realise that it was the same actress when I saw her in AASTOL until someone mentioned it. I was stunned.

I can understand the freckles one as a ridiculous beauty standard in the country. Even the freckles and huge glasses and fringe and bad hair as a way to make them "ugly" for the purpose of the show lol.

Li Rong saying she's not a striking beauty had me pausing the show to look at her again, laugh and check if I read right. She either has problems with her eyes, or that huge mirror in her room is faulty because she is a proud person, if she said that, she really believes it. The person that sold her this lie did a damn good job or the writers did not expect to get such a pretty actress for the role, or underestimated her make-up team's ability in enhancing her beauty.

They need to be trapped together in a room or something to communicate lol. But they are soo cute and funny in their second chance.

The worst thing Li Rong did in the past was to save SRQ and even worse, bring him into her home to live with her for 17 years. That was incredibly foolish ngl. Your brother just annihilated his entire family and castrated him. Why do you think he would view it as a kindness to keep him alive? Then to keep him in such close quarters? The man was from a very prestigious family. Looked upon as the most eligible bachelor in the land for a long long time. He has only known honor his whole life and from what PWX said to him, his family valued close family bonds, so he definitely loved his family. The only reason he'd stay close for so long would be revenge and no one can blame him for that.
But pride, hurt from someone you love and loneliness are a terrible combination.
Li Rong is very eldest princess-like. I actually really like the way they wrote her. She is exactly how you would expect an eldest princess, backed by the most powerful maternal family, to be like. Although she knows about political intrigues, she does not know hardship or suffering, and her guard is not high up enough. That is where PWX comes in. He's a good balance for her.


PWX on the other hand, I do not even know how to properly explain his problem. I just know that I wanted so badly to reach into the screen and smack him real good, then open his damn mouth to say the right things to LR in their flashbacks. How do you make your wife that you were getting along with, jealous over your childhood friend? Why did he underestimate her ability to understand his explanation about his situation with QZZ? That was dumb as hell and also partly caused by pride. The man was trying to be good to her by granting her wishes, but could not read between the lines and did not put in enough effort. He barely even tried.

I just want to say that LR's maids are sooo pretty.

It better be two dreams where they are both alive and together in the end.
