When Mr Wu asked XS if he was crazy, I answered Yes on his behalf lmaoo. This man had those shoes she abandoned in the beginning. The way they showed her walking in that scene, I wonder if he was following her, but they did not show anything like that after, so I forgot about it. He has been fixated on her since the beginning, wow.
Anyway, XS, I'm proud of you. He did what I expected him to do. Find a juicier alternative and personally purchase the 51%. That was really the only possible solution. unless he only bought a fraction of the shares. But then, for him to break the TY and Aneda connection in the way that would satisfy Baoxing, he'd have to buy all the shares and not just some of it.
The ending is good for Kid. XS has been raising him as a child of divorce for too long lmaoo.

I waited for this show and it did not disappoint. I love the leads. I'll miss them.

He was rightfully afraid of how she was going to react. He was very scared of losing her and so kept quiet for too long, fumbled his opportunities to come clean. That was not a good decision obviously. But I like that he is experiencing all these things now because it is causing him to rethink his business ideal. It is only a win if the person considers it a win, and that a financial win does not necessarily translate to an emotional win. And he does not know everything. It is a turning point in his life

There are a couple of issues here. The first is that his business goal has always been to create a win-win situation for companies financially. It has never been about their emotional attachments because his dad and uncle died after rejecting a good business opportunity that their factory kinda needed. So his business mindset is based on trauma. This is hard to get rid of. He even attempted the same stunt on his mother, so you know it is serious. He had no control of the situation. If he refused to cooperate, he would have been taken off the case by his boss, so best thing is to still head it. So in the negotiation with Aneda, he got Ms Tang to agree to keep the management and employees the same, especially JH, keep the brand identity the same. These were the best conditions to make sure that even if TY was acquired, not much would change. Not supporting her ambition would be not even negotiating for them to leave JH as the managing director.
TY joining Aneda would mean they'd be able to expand in the market, expand abroad and everything. Have more designers and increase production. Because Aneda is established, JH would not have to hustle so hard for distribution channels and get her plans sabotaged by someone like Zhang Weishan. They would have more money for promotions and have better contacts for even product procurement. So it'd be easier to run TY, and it'll expand. That is not being against her ambition.

I do not think he discourages her ambitions. He wanted to help her and his hands are tied. He literally has no control over the sale because with his business mind, he saw a great opportunity with TY in the beginning and got his company majority shares. If TY failed, they would not be impacted because they rented out land that was going to otherwise be vacant for 2 years. They could also sell their shares to a brand that wanted to revitalise it by benefitting from its legacy image. If TY made money, then they'd make profits and then even be able to sell it for more profits. This man believed in JH, he had seen her work before. He pushed her and provided opportunities for her to make sure she expanded her view and make the right decisions. His issue was not telling her about what was happening.

Buying shares is the acquisition. That's how you acquire a company. That's why JH always called XS Boss. Its because his company has the controlling shares by being the highest shareholder

So you made your judgement based on two shows? And in one of them, @gemwendz showed you that she only had XS pursuing her, so that is only one show where two men were pursuing her from what you named. And is it not usual for men to pursue women? Is that not what mostly happens in society? Even on tv shows? Would you say the same for someone like Zhao Lisi for example? In her last at least four shows (LLTG, WRTW, HuTong, Gen Z/Houlang), the men pursued her, even when she had feelings for them. This is not an issue at all. Men pursue women all the time. It's in more recent years that women have been more encouraged to make the first move, to "shoot their shots" so to speak.

The other thing is that she did nothing wrong in this instance. Everyone around her warned her about a relationship with XS because he is a ruthless business man. Even her dad spoke to her about it before he passed away. His ex-girlfriend told him it would be better fro him to remain single because he had low EQ and was too logical. Aunt Sue warned her, YJ did too. His mother and aunt scold him all the time for how unemotional he is, how distant he is from people's emotional attachments to things they deem important. It's always numbers for him. Even worse now, he is the one that took her majority stake in her company for his company, and is in charge of overseeing that investment. He's literally the worst person she could date, personally and business wise. She will be the one to be burnt the most because of the power imbalance business wise, which is what is happening now. And you think this is not something she should consider carefully? Feelings are not enough to start a relationship. It was not going to be a one-night stand or a fling with no emotions. She was going to entrust her heart to someone that could ruin her emotionally and financially and she should just go with the flow????

The way I have been defending JH slapping XS, you'd think I hate him lol. I don't, but he deserves all he's going through.
Seeing XS heartbroken is so sad, but this is so necessary for his growth, for his mindset change. XS's goal as an investor has always been to create a win-win situation for everybody. So, unlike Baoxing, that looks for the biggest profit for themselves as a priority, XS seeks to help the companies win. The problem here is that he does not fully consider their emotional attachment. To him, the financial win should translate to an emotional win too because it is only logical. This is as a result of what happened to his dad and uncle. They rejected a good opportunity and he believes it led to them dying. Now his mother is breaking her back and sacrificing her comfort and health to run the keep the company up even though it is struggling.
XS needs this thorough heartbreak. It is good that he fell in love with JH hard. It is good that he watched her build that company up step by step and was emotionally involved with her, so is seeing it from the front row seat. Without everything now, he would not change. He had the audacity to attempt to pull a similar stunt on his MOTHER so you know that the cause of his turning point has to be big and this is it.
There are a few lines that XS said to JH in the book as an explanation, some years after their break-up and I hope they keep them. They were very revelatory to me. XS needs to understand that emotional attachment to something you built is important and it would be better if investors helped the companies to develop on their own too, not just sell them to bigger companies for the opportunity to expand or work less. The founders are right if they want to sell, but right too if they do not want to sell. Depending on their wishes, the investor should help them find ways to produce better products or improve their marketing and sales.

I believe the same thing. JH;'s situation was the catalyst, but not his reason. He's been hard carrying this relationship with her and the mom for so many years. He sacrificed everything possible for her. Loved her more than he loved himself. So when the epiphany came, it completely tore the veil off his eyes. If she showed an investment into their relationship, he probably would not have asked for a divorce. But he finally saw that he had built a fantasy about a person and about their relationship, and he did not know her like he thought and she did not even love him anyway, so why force the relationship still? Why not let her go to be with someone better, that will be on the same wavelength as her?

YJ and XZY's divorce is not great, but I can't blame him. The problem is that his epiphany happened after they got married and not before. If ZY did not ask him to get married impulsively, they would both not be suffering this rn. It's like in the timeline of things, the marriage came too early.
YJ was running on a fantasy, so even when the marriage proposal came, he truly believed he could make it work. He has been very emotionally invested in ZY for way too long. It's been over a decade, so when the wind came, everything came crashing down. If he'd been in this game for a few years, he would not have been hit so hard. He's the one that has been carrying this relationship with the focus being completely on her comfort. He's exhausted is what it is, and it's worse because she doesn't love him, as least not like he does her.
If they are to come back together, they'd have to date properly, for a while. She has to be the one to pursue him. Right now, she's still expecting him to put in the work because asking her asking him if he had anything to tell her is just evidence of the fact that she still needs to work on herself.

So JH is the catalyst, but is not the reason.

Everyone is bearing the consequences of their actions. Mr Pei feels threatened in his job which is interesting because did he think Aneda was a philanthropical organization that would very comfortably keep TY's management staff after the takeover? Their reactions to the replacements is funny because they really thought that the Aneda takeover would bring money and opportunities, but retain the status quo?

Her change of tune in today's episodes were funny to me. It felt like I was proven right when I said she was over indulged because it came after YJ gave her divorce papers

The person I'm most mad at today is ZhaoYang. I think she has been over indulged, so she only thinks about herself. Of all the characters, she has undergone the least character development. She's too selfish. JH spent money that was scarce to her and very valuable to break her non-compete agreement with Aneda, sacrificed her profits to make sure that the deal would look juicy to TT media and so they'd sign it, tried to buy her design with money that was really scarce to her, from Aneda, took all the blame for the Shangchuan Art project scandal, all so that ZhaoYang could come to TY and be a designer again without having to wait for two years. I know JH and TY greatly benefitted from the deal, but she really did not have to go that far for her. She went that far too because she believed in her. One of the few people that kept on encouraging her to not give up on being a designer.
Then ZY kept quiet and supported the sale of TY so that she'd profit from it, so that she'd be able to work for Aneda again. This time, as a chief designer, a position that she's only getting now because of TY. Because like JH said, ZY's artistic focus did not fit Aneda as a brand, so even with the award she won, they were not going to make her chief designer. That's selfish as hell. And when she told YJ that XS was looking for the right opportunity to tell JH, she proved she was also a coward, because she knew deep down that she was wrong. If she really took JH as a friend and partner, she would have told her after she saw XS stalling for so long. She hid behind him so that he'd hopefully tell her and convince her and she would get all the benefits without having to feel guilty.

if she was going to merge with a company that had enough money to buy back the 51% shares from Aneda, then she would not need to complain about the sale to Aneda. The value of TY has gone up since she bought it. So it'll not cost 3 million to buy back the 51% shares. So she'd need a medium sized company, or a big one to be able to do this. It is not that Aneda is her enemy or she is disgusted with the brand. The problem is that TY will lose some of its identity while merging with it, just like TY lost everything after it was brought under Free Unicorn. Most importantly, she was not informed. They practically staged an abduction of her child, her reason for still being alive after her whole world crashed and everyone she knew turned against her. The last link she has to her parents.
And what funds will she use to pursue this method? M&A requires money and if she is going to profit from the sale of TY, that means she most definitely would not be able to buy it back because the value would have increased even more, and the profit she'll get is definitely not enough to cover it.
The last thing is would Aneda be willing to sell it back? That's a very important question. It's a whole company they have spent months and millions and lots of manpower acquiring to make a profit out of. Why would they then sell the shares to the second largest investor to make her the largest investor and therefore negate all that effort?
JH is in this situation because she is not the largest shareholder.

I am just stating what it sounds like because for whatever reason, you seem to have a problem with the female lead bringing up an idea for war that they both agreed on and equally risked themselves to execute. Like it would have been better if the male lead was the one that had the great idea to infiltrate the capital through the prime minister.
Not every plan can be executed perfectly, especially in war. In this case, unfortunately, the young master was moved by his obsession and unilaterally acted against the people that saved him and his army. If we say he should not have gone to the capital, then what do you expect that he should have done as his next move? He is one army, going against a seasoned and cruel general in an impenetrable city. Striking that way would have wiped his army out and they may not even have succeeded. Then we'll congregate here to call him a fool. He and Lieutenant He made the best decision they could, considering the current situation and probabilities and unfortunately, something happened while they were executing it. It is no one's fault.

Anyway, I'm not trying to frame anyone, I'm not such a person. I just like considering all the circumstances when I listen to people or watch something. For shows and all, I put myself into the shoes of the characters and of the writers to better understand them and the intentions, even when I'm unsatisfied with something. It makes for a better viewing experience because then I do not unnecessarily insult characters or get annoyed at them or at the show.

So the idea bringer is the problem? They were discussing and strategising. When you brainstorm with someone, you both bring up ideas and decide on the best one. The person that brought the idea is not the issue. You're grasping at straws to prove your point.
They're fighting a war against a very seasoned and cruel general and at that point, they needed to team up, just like they'd always done. It is not even like his army was left without a leader in his absence. They got used by someone they saved, and that person acted on his own, not because of her own instructions.
And they gained something in the capital. He did not "follow" her there to gain footing for her army alone. They collaborated for both their armies, so what is the issue?

Are you triggered because they wrote a female lead that can match the male lead perfectly in cunning and wit, in intelligence and the ability to be a good military general? Because you sound like you'd prefer if the male lead had absolute intelligence, made no mistake, took no hits and led the female lead around because she just was not smart enough to do without him.

I did not say it was his idea to go to the capital. I said THEY PARTNERED to go there. They were discussing tactics on how to take than Sun Jin with how far they'd come individually and together. Each one was discussing ideas and the possibilities and how difficult it was to advance to the final step because the traitor is very skilled and the emperor that made Xincheng a capital spent 16 years building it into an impenetrable fortress. They decided that their next move was to sneak into the capital and make necessary connections.
Is the fact that she brought it up the issue? You are making it sound like she was going on a mission and he followed her like a lovestruck puppy because he could not bear to be apart from her. They went together in a strategic partnership, just like they had done times before then. It is even his name, his identity that got them the audience with the prime minister. Because he went HIMSELF.

She's a hostage, not a criminal. How will he make a successful transaction with her father by hurting her? That benefits no one. He has already retaliated by letting the people of the Cui army, especially the young master, die. He does not need to do anything to her. She's not even the one that wronged his army fgs.
And he did not follow her to the capital. Are you sure you watched the same show? They partnered to go there to make a political and strategic partnership with the prime minister because there is no other way for them, individual armies and together, to successfully attack the capital and succeed.
