Been waiting on your review to see what you thought, especially with all the really low reviews floating around. I wasn’t as enamored with TBOY as everyone else so I think you gave me my answer.
I agree and have said it often. Tropes are unavoidable in any genre. It’s how the drama/film executes them as a whole and if the actors can sell it. I found this drama frustrating and rated it even lower than you.

I love how the Prince falls into the pretty but dumb category. 😄 The mom really was the capable one. I’m a big believer in show don’t tell as well. Telling does not get me emotionally invested.
