Same! Why r u is not a bad series but I don't like it for some reason. Their jokes feel flat and not funny and…
Me neither. I think it's good for a certain category of the audience, but past a certain age, it gets more annoying than funny. Moreover, the chemistry is nowhere (A lot of viewers praise Tor and Fighter's chemistry, for me it seems forced)... looks like watching some pedagogical documentary lol
I paused WRU after three eps bc this one just blew it out of the water lol
Me too. I can't take Saifah and Zon seriously, and the other side characters I am unable to remember who they are. In the 7th episode I just watched from 48:30 to 01:05:30 and jumped to 2gether. When I think that I wanted to watch Why R U? so much and almost ignored 2gether (I only started watching because I promised my friend to do it)... I shudder... it's no good to judge a show by its plot "(~_~)"
@Pincolino It's not getting worse, I think it wasn't exceptional in the start; the idea was good but the execution is average and it's constant in its averageness (That's ironic, great shows go downhill and average ones are constant in their normality!). Some people like it a lot, some others less. Personally, I just don't feel it... a script is vital in a show to me, and Why R U's is a bit messy. The scenes are chopped, the development is rushed and the acting is sometimes good, some others questionable... that's my opinion, but it's worth watching nevertheless. If one has to choose between Why R U? and 2gether, I think it's better to watch Why R U? first, if someone watches 2gether first and watches Why R U? later on, they might be disappointed.

Both series are rather similar (at least in their category, theme and style) but 2gether is a series that brightens the mood, the humor is great, the actors' chemistry is everywhere, the sequencing is correct, the storyline catchy.... I agree with you, I think Why R U started rowing harder since 2gether's first episode aired... XD
Disappointed by Why R U? I found comfort in 2gether... Green is definitely my favorite character in this series. I like him so much (as much as I like Gun, the actor), I can watch his scenes for hours without getting tired *-*
Why do all main male characters have red lips like they are wearing lipstick?
Artistic makeup does it. Moreover it's also cultural and evolutional... as it seems a banalized abnormality in Y/A BL series to proceed that way (most likely to satisfy the predominantly-feminine audience). If such a thing happens in a Wastern show, gay or not, I think the whole production would be ridiculed whereas it seems to be normal in Asia. For a Westerner like me, it's unusual but it's also fascinating. The cultural dissimilarities should be promoted and accepted, I think!
Lol. I think you aren't missing any! And yes, UWMA is, storywise, better than DBK as it could have been developed…
It felt as if the scenes were added at the last minute just to give the "Queen of BL" a boyfriend and satisfy the fans whom made it very clear that they wanted to see Manow/Samantha getting a boyfriend in a series at last...
My god this show is aweful. Dont understand these good reviews at all. There's so many things morally wrong with…
I will just reply to your last remark. Korn and Knock don't get together until the end because this is supposed to be their story before Bad Romance. Seen from a reversed perspective, the ending of TWM happened way before the story of Bad Romance so there's nothing wrong about the drama ending that way as it continues in Bad Romance :)
As for the rest, I prefer not to comment as my own vision of love is probably worse than TWM's.
Why are people saying that there’s rape in this ?1) they were BOTH drunk and even though Korn was the one who…
I agree with you. For having watched this drama about 5 or 6 times, I think Knock was even willing to kiss Korn (having sex with him was something neither planned). I think he was a pent-up bi and alcohol unlocked something in him at the moment... judging from the way he was looking at Korn after the girls left. Moreover, no man falls for another if he isn't gay or bi from the start.
I agree, I approve, I concur. Is there a term I am missing? Your comments sound like my thoughts and I am not…
Lol. I think you aren't missing any! And yes, UWMA is, storywise, better than DBK as it could have been developed both in width and depth, and carried in both space and time. Four lives, two epochs and one love... the possibilities of development of an intrigue could have increased exponentially for little the team brainstormed them before writing the script. I read a lot of people in comments talk about consistency. I agree, it's important. But consistency should also mean constancy. That's, unfortunately, what made most of the difference between DBK and UWMA.
I think before proceeding to any kind of comparison, one should determine the parameters of comparison first. You can't compare a Prius and a Hummer .... unless you're Jeff Dunham, of course lol
The first BL themed movie that got me interested was Bishonen from 1998 and I've watched almost everything that…
I think My Tee was much worse than this (terrible acting, nonexistent intrigue, messed up storyline, chopped development, unbalanced episodes...). My Tee was the apocalypse of cinematography LMAO
The good thing about this series ending is that y'all can finally stop complaining every single week. I don't…
I am gay (some here think I am a woman lol) and I relate in some ways to the story and what both couples had to face, but, and it's only my personal point of view, I think, as gay people, we have a responsibility to our community. If we don't pinpoint what goes wrong in the shows we watch, BL or not, if we don't try to be objective sometimes and list the things that can be improved, we lessen our chances to see better shows being aired in the future. I think the phase of blind support to every director who works on a gay show is over, it's time to be sharp with our judgments and be demanding, it's the only way to increase gay cinema's standing and thank the artists back. Although I don't agree on everything you said, I agree on some--mostly the "not so good stuff" and I am happy to see that you highlighted your opinion with examples, it helped me see the show almost differently. Thanks :)
"The story of the love of a teenager who seems to be busy. The relationship is different, but no love will come to serve the satisfying, like pillows and their virginity."
Seriously, this plot should be framed and hung in the "Temple of GAY" for posterity's sake. I can't stop laughing whenever I read it. But I still added it to my "to-watch" list for the sake of Copter and Kim lol
