"Outcasts"?? Are you calling all female BL fans outcasts?? How incredibly stupid and offensive.
I'm a very busy and committed surgeon. I'm married. I don't have time for your kind or for crappy dramas made by amateurs for ignorants. Go get a life instead of living in your fantasy world, entertaining mediocrity and dreaming about gay men. ππ»
never. making bl for women is much more lucrative. unless the gays are buying merch, advertised products like…
I'm a surgeon, I don't have time to write stories nowadays but I wrote a handful of scripts in the past. I help my community. And what do you do for yours? Nothing, I know, just looking for drama on the internet.
Not bad. In the ocean of the crappy BL series airing this year, this one is quite decent. Hong Kong rarely disappoints me... ππ» Yet, the rhetorical question remains the same: When will those people quit creating contents for the outcasts and start working hard on pleasing the gay audience?
I watched 5 episodes so far, and it wasn't easy. I prefer the previous cast, it's a final conclusion, especially the actor who portrayed Guo Cheng Yu in the previous version.. he's how I pictured the character when I read the book, and now I have a hard time "adapting to the new adaptation" if I may say. And an actor who's 21 and looks like he's 14 to portray a doctor... Come on...
Good thing that this show got cancelled. The world is still ruled by the narrow-minded and those who pretend they hate the omegaverse trope but are here nevertheless, they can't even be honest with themselves.
How old are you? If adults then act it. If you donβt like a genre or something then ignore it. No one and I…
@SarahZhang Those people have no lives, they hate to prove to themselves that they're important, but they'll never be. The more a person hates, the more invisible they become.
I knew from episode 1 that I would relate to this story very much, and to Tanwa and Trin's story on a very intimate level. And my 92 y.o friend who watched it with me relates to Naran and Krailert's story (he was a victim of paragraph 175 of Nazi Germany), except that in his own story, they reunited abroad and lived their love.
We watched Shine together and loved every episode. I was a bit disheartened by episode 7, I wished it was more... intense. But, it was okay, not bad at all.
In my own story Tanwa and Trin didn't get a happy ending. I'm still content with the happy ending the two got in the show. Indeed, you have to live in the here and now, and not let fear dictate who you love or what you do with your life.
All in all, Shine knew how to please me. It's easily in my top 5 Thai gay-themed shows now. Naran and Krailert are in my top 3 favorite gay couples in Thai series. Good... no... impressive acting!
Gave it a 7.5/10, and I know it deserves a better rating!
I'm glad my cinematographic intuition is getting sharper as I grow older. It took me one episode, the very first, to know that this series would be amazing. The 7th episode didn't disappoint. I only regret that they didn't go further, more into the darker side, with the shooting scene, it felt a bit rushed; if the scene was edited into a slower motion (for example) it would have had a stronger impact. But it's still a good show. I just hope that they wouldn't milk it dry afterwards.
Why is this show not hyped enough? Literally the best cast with hella amazing storyline Genuine question, are…
If a show is too popular, it's definitely horrible. The BL fandom is well-known for stimulating mediocrity. I'm almost happy that this show isn't too hyped, it's only for those that deserve it, those who are interested in genuine gay-themed stories and not unwatchable BL.

I have to watch this ASAP!
