as long as you just want a rom-com that is quintessentially just a rom-com with time-travel that mostly makes sense, and you have no problem with destined lovers, then you're gonna have a fantastic time with this one.

PS:it also has a very happy and satisfying ending.

I agree 100%, Bong Seok was definitely a weak point of the drama, I don't know if they told him to play the character like that or it was his own decision and his own interpretation of a high school kid but it did not work, he was way too childish and immature for someone who's about to go to college, at points I thought he was playing as a mentally disabled person or someone with a way below average IQ.

and yeah, the costume was trash, and there are ways you can make that yellow godawful raincoat work like you can get one that's baggy or has a more sleek design.

as someone who values their time, I of course want competent and good-looking actor/actresses on my TV, I don't think that's too much to ask.
also I never said anything about his weight, don't put words in my mouth😘🫡

he didn't really save Hui su though cuz they never had any intention of hurting the kids, saving his mom🤔 I give him that for sure, but not the costume, he looked like a freaking child which reinforced my previous thoughts on him being too immature and childish for his age and even maybe not fully mentally there.

All in all it was a mostly enjoyable watch, it just had massive pacing issues.

I just finished it and completely agree with you, It was a mostly ok watch, but nowhere close to the "masterpiece" people were hailing and recommending it as.

I finished today, and he has moved up from total useless to semi-useless for me but overall he was a very unlikable character and his "hero" outfit looked like the most garbage costume possible.

I'm on episode 7, and I'm still so bored, I keep watching hoping that it would get better but nope! I especially don't like the kid that can fly, it pisses me off to see him on my screen.

I'm still gonna watch though cuz it's not bad enough for me to drop it, but it's getting closer to it by each episode.

When it came out a lot of people were mad that this "rom-com" that they perceived as inferior had a higher rating than their fav drama that was either finished or airing at the time, so they mass voted the negative reviews and that's the situations we're in now.

Watching S2 and seeing how they've butchered my favorite characters was not only sad, but it also made me not be able to rewatch S1 ever again.

Because he was the only one with any sort of plan, and he had the previous game experience, so in their eyes he was the most likely candidate to follow and you can't ignore In Ho's manipulations either.

What about Hyeon Ju? is she a genius above everyone else? Hell no, she chose to be in these sketchy ass games like everyone else, no one in these games has above average IQ, you can't keep expecting them to make the exact right decision😒

The memory thing isn't explained in the drama, but the most accepted theory is that cuz she committed suicide, their connection was severed by the magnitude of her sin, some Asians believe that killing yourself can erase you from your loved one's memory in the afterlife.

Why he can't remember her in the real world could be attributed to the accident, and the fact that he wasn't supposed to come back, and she forced him to return to a too broken body.

I saw this couple as the writer's attempt to shed light on the severity of suicide and if you're hasty and regret it in the last minute there isn't much you can do, and to show the damage it can bring to your eternal soul.

About the haunting: haunting someone isn't always about revenge, like in most movies and dramas, here she's haunting him out of her love and desperation for him to remember her.

PSS: the last scene is related to the drama Moving which is in the same universe as Light Shop and you need to see that to get that, if you're not interested you can just ignore that scene's existence, although I do recommend Moving.
