Not sure why you think this undermines natural talent? Sometimes it's fine to not think too deep about every show's…
The message in itself that you should study isn't that bad, but I didn't like that they presented it as a glove that fits all, cuz look at the ML here, sure he is studying but do you really think someone who's at the bottom of the school and needs a whole ass team to teach him to move up just a little is gonna go to college or even get a degree? Someone who has no goals or dreams in life? who just wants to study for the sake of studying? you think he's gonna be happy in a menial office job? or would he be happier of he was pushed and encouraged to pursue what he's passionate about and is good at?
About Mob, I don't remember much cuz I watched it a while ago, but from what I remember is that I disliked it's message of promoting mediocrity.
🤣🤣 it was almost the same for me too,I went in blind and just looked at the name and the poster and assumed PBY was a shop owner for magical lights or she was a witch with a shop, and was so confused yet I couldn't stop watching.

Nah, don't know that drama to be honest with you, the ones that people were commenting at the time were QOT and some BL ones, if you search you can find the comments unless they've deleted them.
I'm not going to read any reviews because I really want to watch this in a few months (Currently on my C-Drama…
Because the drama is quintessentially just a rom-com, a very feel good funny destined lovers rom-com, people who have written the negative reviews have several reasons but most of them are:
1. they were looking for a deeper meaning 2. they wanted more backstory for the villain 3. they found the FL to be annoying 4. they think that a different drama that is their fav deserves a higher rating and LR that is "just" a rom-com shouldn't have this high of a rating. 5. they wanted more explanations for the time-travel rather than just accepting it as is
these are the majority of the reasons for the negativity in the reviews, but the ratings are from people who watched, loved it and rated it high and left, cuz most people don't bother to write reviews.
The issue with younger actors is that their experience could be lacking. As for Hwang Min Hyun, he have such a…
"Don't know why you are fighting a 30 yr old looking his age so much but ok"
Because I genuinely can't see it, I'm not a fan of his nor have I seen him in anything besides this drama, so I don't fell the need to defend him at all🤷♂️ but out of the entire cast he was the only one I actually thought could pass for a high school student, so it's baffling for me how you think otherwise
Generally, even though I don't prefer watching business dramas, but somehow I am just really excited for this…
Yeah, I'm not too sure, I'm gonna put it on my list and see what rating it gets by the time it finishes cuz I don't watch ongoing dramas, and by then I'll make a decision.
Actually if I remember correctly his mother never forced him to study, his uncle who taught his fighting and even…
yeah the mom didn't force him to study but she didn't really do anything else either, except that I think she banned him from seeing his uncle so maybe stopping his growth🤷♂️ and that's something that resonates with me a lot, my parents were quite apathetic towards me and never encouraged me to do anything and as long as I wasn't in trouble or hanging with bad people that was alright with them which made me not pursue anything and don't have any dreams.
I wasn't a huge fan of how the drama undermines natural talent and tried to force the message that only studying is good, and it's the only way to salvation. MC for example has a natural talent in fighting and sport in general, yet no one from a young age tried to push him in that direction and was just: "study, study, study"
It's the same in Mob Psycho, Mob's natural talents are pushed aside and painted as bizarre and wrong and it tries to say that if Mob uses his powers to get ahead in life it's unfair but if a person that is talented in sports uses their superior physique and genetic to get ahead it's fine.
Just finished it and was quite disappointed, I had heard a lot of good things and the rating was high too, but it wasn't entertaining at all, it was basically a very rushed introduction to the family and a couple of days in their life, that's it, nothing really "happened" without a season 2 this is a very mediocre 5/10 and half of that is for Bae Doo Na
