I just completed this kdrama, i liked it , im not saying it was perfect ,but it was a fun watch. dont understand…
"dont understand the hate for it"
I personally didn't hate it, I didn't love it either it was just mid, but I can understand people's frustrations with the drama, it promised an overly sensitive guy, but then that got abandoned and it just appeared when it could serve the plot, FL appeared as a tough tomboy but they immediately changed her when they got together, the village people were nice at first but the more they appeared the more annoying they became, sudden backstory for the villain boss to make us feel sad for him but no one really gave a shit about him and it came out of nowhere, FL was written the same as her character in business proposal and it just didn't work here, SML's trauma and PTSD was just pushed aside.
these are the stuff I remember but I'm sure there were more.
literally 😭 do they its okay to act cute at pushing 40 just bcuz they’re korean ??
It all goes back to the writing, if the plot is good no one is gonna complain about them acting cute or too childish for their age, the issue here is that the story is boring, the leads don't have chemistry, so other issues become glaringly obvious.
way too long, i hate dramas where i can predict whats gonna happen so there was no point of watching this.overrated…
I mean I didn't like this drama and in fact hated the writing, and I've been here a while and have seen a lot of complaints and don't get me wrong, this drama is for sure overrated and it is too long which can be a good thing if the writing is good, unfortunately we didn't have that here. But to say that you didn't like it because it was predictable is really weird and silly to me cuz almost 95% of dramas on this site are predictable, hell just looking at the genre and tags and who the 2 main leads are you can predict the entirety of the drama, which is why I've always said having a love triangle is stupid cuz everyone already knows who the main couple are.
Majority of people with a brain can tell what a drama's ending gonna be unless they do something stupid like in "reborn rich", the mark of a good drama is it's ability to distract and entertain it's audience so well that we can get lost in it's world and forget that we can predict it, Love next door failed in this.
Imma hold or pause for a bit until the ex gone. I just dont like him tbh. He looked stressful for me to watch
yeah, I watch dramas to be entertained and I just don't get this need that Korean writers have with adding unnecessary BS with a triangle, so many dramas waste time on it and they end up having less time to give to the main couple and at that point: why would I keep watching then?
funny thing is that everyone knows already that SML is never gonna get the girl which makes it even more stupid.
Lovely runner did SML very well, and some of the recent rom-coms I've seen did a good job too, I just don't get why these guys just go back to default when they can see that a drama can be successful without stupid triangle.
Love next door was another recent drama that got ruined by the SML. no gain no love was also another one ruined by SML and a wishy-washy FL.
I'm on first episode: FL's mom: "I'll give you a large portion as a thank you next time" What ML should have said: "can I have your daughter instead?" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
what the hell was that ending? why did ML just quit his job like that? wouldn't it have been better if he replaced SML and tried to change the company from within so that it wouldn't treat it's employees like dirt anymore? why quit anyway, wasn't he chummy with the CEO old woman? if he had asked she would have allowed him to be the potato lab chief permanently, and that way he could have been in the village and close to FL and not have the job of firing people indiscriminately.
another issue I had was how useless SML and his wife were to the plot, they didn't really add much to the plot, beside telling ML that he was the one who fired FL the first time, but that could have been done with him just randomly seeing her file on his PC when searching about her in the servers.
It's because LR is quintessentially a proper rom-com with zero annoying BS, we don't have a meddling SML in LR,…
"It ate as a MELO SLICE DRAMA" the rating says otherwise.
" Love Next Door and this drama aren’t connected"
I never said they were, I simply provided an example I had in mind about a recent drama that was falsely advertised and marketed.
"Why are you so bothered by it?"
Because it lied to me, I went in expecting a happy fun rom-com and what I got was a slow af melo slice of life that was boring as hell that failed at the romance and comedy, all I've said since then about it in this comment section or the drama's own comment section has only been to inform others so they don't make the same mistake I did, I've never lied and have only ever stated the facts as I saw them.
the big question is why are you so triggered with me talking about a drama with someone else? why do you feel this need to insert yourself in this conversation?

Immediately lost interst
FL's mom: "I'll give you a large portion as a thank you next time"

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
1. happy ending?
2.love triangle?
3.annoying SML?
4.how sad is the melodrama?

Also season 2? there is no way it's gonna happen
the rating says otherwise.

2. Definitely, FL's wishy washy attitude and her mom's abusive nature really triggered me.
3. I guess it could be called healthy, it just never felt like that to me cuz of their lack of chemistry.
4. For sure, it'll make you cry
if you want a happy fulfilling rom-com then nope this is not that.
If you want a slow melo slice of life then this is excellent for you.
