Well thats an issue, the size actually hurt the story because the writer had no idea what to do with them, and so it seemed as though they hurt the story rather than improve on it
I highly doubt it, if this was the best they could do then it's gonna be all downhill from here. The only way I can see that they could actually make a season 3 work is: 1. making the comedy more subtle 2. less slapstick jokes 3. make the characters behave and talk like human beings 4. don't cheapen the emotional scenes with abrupt comedy 5. thinning the cast by a lot, the size of the cast was a huge issue in S2 6. no more superpower nonsense
I can write more, but it won't matter cuz they're not gonna do even half of these.
to me it felt like no scene had any weight, even when that kid at the beginning collapsed, it never felt like a serious situation, from that point on they tried to make everything a joke and failed even to do that, season 1 was so good because it knew how to balance the serious and the funny and jokes for the most part landed. Season 2 had no soul
What the hell was this season 2? I Finally managed to finish it, and it was such a chore, I felt like I owed it to the first season to give this one a fair shot, but it got more and more stupid and ridiculous as time went on.
This was a complete deconstruction of every character from season 1, none of them behaved like an actual human being, everyone felt like caricatures of themselves, from father kim to yohan, it felt like the writer and director had a vendetta against them and had to make them as unlikable and cringe as possible, and that brings it to my next point: this drama was hands down the cringiest drama I have ever seen in my entire life.
The comedy never properly landed, the action was mid at best, the plot was just the Father Kim team bursting at the seems with characters that the writer had no idea what to do with against the stupidest, most incompetent set of villains in dramaland history.
in comparison, the first season managed to evoke so many emotions out of the audience, the action scenes felt heavy and impactful, the comedy was perfect and on point and the plot for the most part was quite believable, in S2 the same characters that the writer had no idea what to do with had actual superpowers, like WTH? who made this stupid decision? all in all S2 managed to fail to do the bare minimum of what S1 excelled at. 3/10
PS: as someone that was begging for a season 2 for a long time, I wanted to personally apologize to everyone here🥺
Someone said there were plot flaws to this drama? What were the plot flaws?
No idea, I've been told the same thing but when I ask them for an explanation, they either disappear or try to attack by insults, they never have a proper explanation for their hate.
don't consider what I'm saying as facts, but I interpreted that scene as two scenarios:1. Ji Yeong's suicide was…
Well, the drama never really addressed which religion it was basing its premise on or if it did, I might have missed it. and it's not just in Christianity that considers suicide a sin, other religions consider it a sin too or at the very least something that should be avoided, in Buddhism for example they believe that suicide does not end an individual's suffering because their suffering is a result of their karma, and by ending themselves they bring that karma into their next life.
It's not really horror, and you can tell when something's gonna happen so you're good, as someone whose heart does jump ropes when jumpscare happens, it didn't happen to me once.
The first four episodes, you think it's a scary horror and wonder what is going on, but once episode 5 hits, you're…
Same, I was so scared of the women that could grow tall, but then I learned her story, and I was crying so much for her, and then her partner smashing her light; Chef's kiss🤯😍
PS: I'm currently watching fiery priest 2, and it's a very good Palate cleanser after such a heavy drama.
Of course, Gi Hun made all the wrong decisions when it came to how to maximize his revenge by using the money…
Exactly, people seem to have forgotten how dumb he actually was and that he won due to luck and self sacrifice of a bunch of people.
Funny thing is that if he was acting all smart in S2, these same people that are complaining right now would be saying that: "this is so out of character for him"
BTW if it isn't too much to ask could you let me know if he remains there and doesn't go back to modern times?

does it have a happy ending?
annoying love triangle?
annoying SML?
does ML go back to modern times?
