Title High Kick Season 3 Spoiler
I'm leaving this for people that might wanna watch this drama in the future:
as far as comedy is concerned, it's nowhere as funny as the second season, the main character Nae Sang is a very unlikable character to boot, he has almost no redeeming quality, so it makes it all the more difficult to root for him.

the romance is very mediocre too; there is only one good couple in this drama and the rest are either abandoned or never given a proper answer to their conclusion in the ending. then there is the whole will they/won't they? that they've got going between the 30 something years old doctor and the underage high school girl which was super uncomfortable to watch, and they don't even treat it as funny or a gag, they take themselves super seriously with it, and this whole plot drags down the rest of the drama immensely cuz they don't resolve it until like the last 3 episodes.

Then there is the unlikable doctor character that I mentioned before; they keep trying to make him seem like a genius and kind, but his actions scream of leading the poor high school girl on and on, he does this to Jin Hee too, and ends up with none of them, so it makes all the time they spent together quite meaningless, and then out of nowhere they establish Jin Hee with someone else with zero build up that screams of a last-minute writing decision.

Overall this is a very poor imitation of High Kick season 2, there is none of the charm and the comedy that we had in S2, I credit a lot of it to the child actors in S2 and the lack of any in S3, it really let it down, as far as endings are concerned; S2's ending is still complete trash, and S3 feels rushed and sudden despite it's over 100 episode length, which is another level of failure, but still they have the sense not to kill anyone off in this one.

Title Idol I
This show is more character-driven than plot driven so if you don't feel like rooting for their character growth,…
yeah, I get that, the issue is the characters don't really appeal to me, I would have liked if FL had kept more of her fanatic fan persona after she accepted his case, or if they didn't keep trying to make me feel sad for the rich idol that had made stupid decisions and now was seeing the results.

but overall my main issue was the tone of the drama, the summary, tags and even the poster suggests a rom-com vibe but the actual drama is a festival of sadness for every character.

I had the same issue with Love Next Door, everything about it suggested a fun light rom-com but it was anything but, the comedy was flat and the romance of lackluster and forced.

Title Not Others
I had never seen any series starring this actress before Idol Eye, but I read in the comments that she was a weak…
I wouldn't necessarily call her weak, more like serviceable, she isn't so wooden to ruin the drama but she is also not great enough to elevate it, kind of like Yoona

on episode 4 too, and I know exactly how each scene seems like a drag instead of something you are looking forward…
I say drop it if you have better dramas you can watch

Title Idol I
This is such a slow, boring drama. I don't know what it is, but I just can't take it anymore and had to drop at episode 4, I don't know if it's the pacing or the way it was shot, but each scene felt like it took forever, none of the characters are really likable either.

How tf does someone die by such a small cut on the upper back like she did? Man this lack of attention to details…
or how does the king travel to the future with zero consequences?

or the fact that she went to the past and in the grand scheme of things was quite useless, she changed nothing and everything happened like they were supposed to, all she did was getting a husband.

1. lighthearted and easy to watch?2. Love triangle? not a fan of it
Nah, you're dead wrong about the SML in Bong Soon, dude was a huge red flag, he never gave a shit about FL but the moment she found someone for herself, he wanted her just out of jealousy, not because he cared about FL, then there was his toxic behavior and trying to get between FL and ML and even trying to sleep at ML's house even though he was basically nobody to Bong Soon and both FL and FL's mom told him to leave. then he had the audacity to threaten ML and tell him to treat FL good, like who the hell even are you? you're the one that has been treating Bong Soon like crap all this time, who are you to tell ML anything?
SML treated Bong soon like a plan B, like a back up he could keep on ice forever in case he needed a partner, the moment she tried to find her own way, he became overly possessive.

as far as SML in LND is concerned, I wouldn't put him on par with the toxic SML in Bong Soon but I did consider him a red flag, but I can see your POV too.

If you want a green flag SML, I suggest you check out Lovely Runner.

no matter how much you want to excuse his behavior, it's still a sus move, and takes him completely out of the green flag territory.
or even if you disregard FL, he was still hanging around ML's place even though it was clear he wanted the ex gone, how is that a green flag?

We had the same thing in Bong Soon, SML was a horrible red flag.

MDL Is such a funny website to be honest, a highly HATED kdrama with every single romance cliché present in it…
I have no idea how this is 8.3 when it's full of so many annoying tropes, it's a 7 at best

how is FL's ex a green flag when he was scheming with FL's mom behind FL's back and trying to force her to get back with him several times despite her saying no??
how is that a green flag?

I have no idea how I didn't see this when it aired, or even heard of it, truly an underrated secret gem.

I really enjoyed the comedy, and I loved that no matter what they didn't forget that they were shooting a comedy and at no point did they try to abandon that theme, a lot of dramas forget that they're shooting a romance or a comedy and start to take themselves way too seriously, I also really enjoyed how quick they disposed of the main villain, anything otherwise would have been an insult to the team.

PS: I really hope there is a season 2 cuz they did tease it a little at the end, but if it's gonna be utter trash like in Fiery Priest season 2 then I hope they never make a second season.

Idk why but I've never watched any show with Yoona beyond 5-6 episodes max.
I was feeling the exact same way with King the Land

This was good till episode 70 and then it got pretty bad, it sacrificed what it was good at; the comedy for what it was terrible at; the romance.

if they had just focused on the comedy and the family dynamics and stuff like Hae Ri finally accepting Shin Ae or Se Kyung going to college, it would have been a much better drama.

even if it had actually made up it's mind about what the romance partners were going to be instead of being wishy-washy about it, it would have been a better drama.

PS: does anyone know if Season 3 has a trash ending and conclusion like in season 2 or if it's better, please let me know
