They have a 10-year age gap, 16/26. The movie could have been executed better, for sure, though the storyline remains problematic. The manga, honestly, isn't that bad--the FL is more mature there. I personally enjoyed reading it because the artist depicted more realistic body types, which is rare. This is one of those stories that fares mostly okay in the books but not when adapted with real ppl in a movie or series.

He wanted to avoid gossip about him dating or courting a 16-year-old, so they decided to get married directly. Honestly, I feel like it would have been the same to just get engaged, cuz they would have still been official, but whatever, lol

I don't think the age gap is inappropriate in itself--what's problematic is that she's still in school, and that they didn't want to wait (to get married) until she had at least graduated. You gotta always keep in mind though that a country's laws can be different. Pretty sure the age of consent in Japan used to be 12, and got changed to 14 relatively recently.
Very sweet story. The actors were amazing, and the script was very well-written. Unfortunately, in true j-drama style, the kisses are very anticlimactic. Overall, very enjoyable watch. 8.0

I've watched many 'noona' (older woman, younger man) dramas, and this one didn't disappoint in that aspect. I agree, however, with past reviews saying that the chemistry between the leads is quite nonexistent.

I wish they focused more on the virtual game and less on the business stuff
