Yes, it's pretty much exactly as you said. It looks like we might get another historical drama with him next year called Road to Glory--looking forward to that! It's funny, because it almost sounds like the plot is the gender-reversed version of PoJ.

If you're looking for a really good Republican era C-drama, I recommend City of Streamer. I'm currently watching it and genuinely in love with it. Don't mind the rating on here. It's very good!!

The promotions made everyone's expectations sky-high, and we all expected a high-budget, high-level production, but it turns out it's not quite what it was made out to be. I personally haven't watched it yet, but apparently, like most Republican-era dramas, the plot is messy, and the acting isn't great. People were comparing it to vertical drama quality. Plus there was drama because of the AI-generated intro. But this MDL page also got bombed by trolls, so the rating really isn't legit either.

I genuinely want to watch Blossoms of Power so bad, but I literally had to hold off on continuing Blossom because of her. I just...I don't like her style of acting 😭😭 there's something about it that I just can't get past! I'm also rly looking forward to Tigers Sniff the Rose because of the ML (same pairing as in Blossom), I just hope her acting has improved.
