I haven't read the whole novel, but the novel characters are on a whole new level of toxic behavior.
Yeah, if not for censorship, he would have pulled it off. Episode 25 showed his unstable yandere side he was known for in the novel at best. You will definitely not like him in the OG's mortal act, especially how he treated Ye BingChang differently in it. Radio format's Episode 18 of season 1 with the tower sequence you would either cheered or cried as Tantai Jin finally faced the consequences of his actions where he lost Susu, became a broken shell of himself.
I was not happy the way Susu was portrayed. She survived the dystopian world on her own but she didn't have any fight scenes where she was known for her swordswoman and spells. I did like that she was more honest with her feelings, but most her scenes were reduced in the immortal act where she learned more the heartless path acceding is not what she thought, and the demon act wasn't explored much where we supposed to learned more of the path formation.

Both Tantai Jin & Pian Ran in the c-drama are the much more positive version of their OG. Susu on the other hand is fiercer and stronger in the OG story. Tantai Jin in the immortal & demon act is similar to how LXY portrayed him but he did the most extreme way in his anti-hero role and he did it for a reason.

Than it's best not to listen to the radio drama format as it is faithful to the novel, and it was the author's favorite adaptation. Believe me MY was really a cold bastard
I love Jing's kindness but I wish he could kill his family😑
Jing confessed he knew how to deal with his brother but he doesn't want to give in to vengeance and doesn't want to hurt anyone despite how they treated him. That kindness was the reason Xiao Yao fell for him
I heard, perhaps incorrectly, that they filmed a happy ending to drama but didn't air it. Has this happy ending…
there is a radio drama format that came out before the c-drama. It followed the original story including the HE. Think of this as the reunion we waited to hear as Youku seems to have forgotten their promise https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HHeMInzBQTc&t=60s
I was being dissed by someone in MLC when I mentioned TTEOMT was one of the best c-dramas I've seen in 2023 before the account got deleted. All that person did was complain about it even slander our loving leads. Glad MDL took care of that waste

Too bad no one did the ENG translated version of the format, but here's the link to listen
