I'm glad Chen Du Ling character in MLC is much more likable. Too bad she showed little of her sword skills in it but happy she cut ties with Zijin. As for XSY, his character is like the antihero version of Superman. Ah-Fei. Sometimes I imagine Tantai Jin & Li LianHua might become best friends if they live in the same world. Our demon god so need a laid-back friend who likes to screw around with people & Li Susu would 100% support their friendship

What is with the negativity and being hate? I mean actors and actresses played more than one character in althe drama as in LYX Tantai Jin/Devil god/Ming Yi/Cang Jiumin and BL Li Susu/Ye Xiwu/Sang Jiu. Li Lihua aka Cheng Yi turned out to be from the Nanyin Royal blood. That means he and Jian Li Qian are cousins as she is also from the Nanyin Royal bloodlines. This is why it is ironic cause she is a psycho obsessive woman who is jealous of her own cousin whom she had no clue but decides to marry him to have her own harem after Di Feisheng becomes her husband/Empress. She died without knowing their connection.

Pian Ran in the novel is completely different from the drama. She was very vengeful and showed no remorse over the horrible things she had done to bring her lover back. While her role in the OG story was short, the small hint between her & Xiwu/Susu was meaningful.

Too bad the novel didn't explain what happened to YE ChuFeng (Ye Qingyu OG in the book) aftermath in the final battle. He reunited with PR in her fox form but with no memories when Susu found him. He too risked himself for Tantai Jin after the tower sequence and mended his broken ties with Susu.

Blamed on Youku bad editing and the restrictions but it was adapted from my favorite book. I love the mature dark romance and i am aware it was really hard to bypass the censorship as their relationship was pretty toxic and the ML unstable yandere personality. The actors & actresses played more than 2 roles in the drama which is very difficult to do even in America and they did a fantastic job with their different characters. I just hope we can get the extension or director cut later

Surprisingly, CY has a lot in common with LLH. He seems to be horrible at cooking too. He may be a great tea master but cooking is definitely hard

Now only LYF is the c-drama I'm currently watching. MLC was one of the best mystery bromance drama I've seen. I tried other new c-dramas in summer time but they all have the same romance formulas that I got bored of already. TTEOTM, LYF & MLC are currently the best ones I've watched

In the book, they are cousins in blood relation while in the drama, it changes to CX as the adopted son. Cousins marriages or couple is still common in Asia. It okay if they're distant related cousins which would have fit in the concept
