Right? I can’t with the guy & my apologies to the fans of his but like FL said it “he took her for granted, declaring her love for him. He never put any trust in her”. He even dared saying that it was the wrong timing when she said the loved him LOL? No one will wait forever for someone that is dismissive of her/his feelings.

I can’t remember the exact details but the Rong girl blamed FL that she didn’t tell her that someone from a company got in touch with her for an interview on purpose. FL responded that no one contacted her for the Rong girl interview. All of her friends including the SML thought that the FL lied about it so FL offered to call the person in charge of CVs & interviews process HR department of that company to ask if they did call for the Rong girl the SML snatched the phone from her so FL was upset & left crying. Later on, her roommate remembered that she did speak to someone for the Rong girl but she was tired so she slept through & forgot to tell th3 Rong girl. Her friend & FL gave the evidence that FL was right but neither the Rong girl nor the SML apologised for their mistakes. The Rong girl only admitted that she was wrong on the new year party when the uni clasmates reunified & the Rong girl proudly said that her & SML are an item.

Well said. He has the audacity to ask FL “Why did you lie to me that you were in a relationship with Mr Lin?”. He didn’t even remember that the Rong girl told her that she (Rong) & SML were together. I can’t with him.

I would like to ask you about Colonel Sawa & his Japanese subordinate in the last episode. When Col Sawa superior ( the general) rang & told him to de-escalate & surrender. The Portuguese has received the order to let Japanese personnel leave Macau saftely. Col Sawa & his subordinate were boarding the boat but then were seen to getting off the boat & took the fake passports to leave Macau. Why did they not remain on the boat & left to take another direction. Were they scared that they would be killed by He Xian’s men or did they want to stay on to pick up the fight ? What do you think?

Agreed, the characters are united to fight for the common good. I really enjoyed it as I didn’t have high expectations when I started watching this drama. Everything is tied up well and I am really impressed with the acting, the script, the suspense.

After having helped to hide the supplies with He Xian & the gang, Qiao Yiwen went back to her hotel room. The new Japanese governor in macau has just arrived & resided in the same hotel. The Chinese collaborators fucked up in their operations in stealing the supplies, they killed Rodrigues in the process. Portuguese police was pissed off that they killed Rodrigues & chased them to the hotel & started a stand off against the Japanese. The crazy Col Sawa asked He Xian to come to the hotel for some negotiations. In the meantime, they kidnapped He Xian’s dad & son to use it against He Xian as he wanted He Xian to confess about the anti-jap force in Macau, HK & Guanzhou; tell him the whereabouts the supplies, denounce the Portuguese government with a view to militarily occupying Macau. When Qiao Yiwen overhead that Sawa & Chinese collaborator kidnapped He Xian dad & son, she decided to help He Xian & Macau by telling coded conversations to HX & played her violin for him. She then jumped out of the window to commit suicide for the cause.

I have but watched the other episodes yet so will let you know when I come to that.

I watched the last episode & It’s a HE. Most characters survive with the exception of Qiao Yiwen as she didn’t appear in this episode so I assume she must have been killed. The crazy Japanese colonel Sawa & his Japanese colleague were executed for war crimes. The Chinese collaborator guy got killed by the brotherhood gang for treason & avenge their brothers that got killed because of him. He Xian remains in macau to help Macau develop its economy & financial system.

You can do the same but subscribing as VP on iQIYi if I am not mistaken.

Probably tomorrow. I watched it on WeTV as I bought the package to watch 1 episode in advance.

I just googled Ma Wanqi’s real name is Ma Man Kei. Ke Lin was also real in this true story. Ho Yin aka He Xian, Ma Man Kei (Ma Wanqi) & Ke Lin were involved in the fight against Japanese blockades of Macau & sent vital supplies and funds to the front lines of the Chinese forces fighting the Japanese invasion. That is real story & history for me to learn. I really enjoy this drama.
