Ikr, she had to make some excuses to him like visiting ML’s house in his hometown. Yet PY had to accompany them there but she had to ask him to her some time alone in ML’s house. When she was alone in ML’s house , she & brother Cui left & escaped without looking back. PY wanted to chase after them but they also had help from others. He was obviously pissed that he could not catch them back as he had received an order from the emperor if I am not mistaken. JC lives a happy & life with her son & the boy kept calling brother Cui papa which she did not want him to call that. Boy, PY was like keeping on telling her that raising a child alone is difficult, trying to put her off LOL.

I have not read the whole novel but have started to read the last 2 chapters, Wuxia aka ML died. JC was pregnant of ML’s baby ( a son). She managed to escape PY with the help of brother Cui & lives a free life . PY became a prince after her departure. Cui has been travelling around different provinces to practice his medicine.

Same, him forcing onto her is really disturbing. Dude does not take no for an answer is concerning for JC. I watched the trailer & saw that JC & PY were in wedding clothes so I am praying that he does not force her to marry him as a concubine.

Agreed, he is genuinely kind. In the novel, he helped JC ( god bless him) to escape PY & live freely as she always wanted & raise her own son ( with Wuxia).

I have not read the whole novel yet but have read the last 2 chapters , it appears that PY still wanted to put JC ( pregnancy with the dead WuXia son) in a cage & thank to brother Cui, they managed to escape PY.

Very well said. It was just disgusting to tell a victim that he was willing to guarantee her safety that no one would look down on her by making her the legitimate wife, the hell is that? He does know that she wants justice for her husband but yet still carries on as if nothing happened.

I don’t think JC is in love with PY. The way I see it is more grateful for his help at the beginning but now she could see that he is not really upholding any justice for the most vulnerable.

Please be patient as there is a reason for it. At the moment, he sees her as an obstacle to his search for whom ordered the assassination of his parents & forced separation with his eldest sister. ML gets a bit kinder in the spoilers in episode 14. The storyline is getting interesting. I’m on ep 9..

He cracks me up when he wants something out of his mum, he is so manipulative in a good way.

Same, I have not watched these episodes again. At this point, I just want ML & FL to have a decent relationship. Hopefully, Xueji will have a happy ending.

What’s terrible for Xueji is her selfish father pushing her to guarantee his future without thinking of her own survival. The creep would threaten to take her down should she not obey. It is really good for her to slowly stand her ground by trying to build trust with her husband ( if we can call that) and a foundation around them so no one could bully them. I’m more invested in her future than the romance of ML & FL LMAO.

I have a soft spot for Xueji, she has to bite her tongue to survive in her horrible family. Her discussion with Ziyu is quite touching. I’m not a fan of the emperor but he may fall for her later on.

It annoys me when they’re trying to milk it by changing the schedules based on popularity of the show. I don’t mind paying for an express package just to watch the ending of the show.

Girl, I’m more interested in watching how XueJi fares with the biatch consort & her horrible father at this point.

Whilst I love both ML & FL but the writing of her indifference by sending him back to his home is a bit cruel. At this point, I just want them to work together to take the baddies down and couldn’t carelesss about romance anymore. Whatever, it is so tiring to drag this game out, come on writers.
