Yeah that's a wish. Being obsessed or being in love is one thing, people can move from there, until they do something evil. From my perspective, he has not done something evil till now. We don't know about the upcoming episodes though. There is an upcoming scene where Xiao Jue punches Chu Zhao so maybe he actually does something improper.
Ep 29 and 30 were too good! Kiss scenes, love confession, palace politics were all to the point. The sword fighting, the aura oh my god! I just don't understand why they need to butcher Chu Zhao's character. Yes, he has been a little irritating but he has not betrayed the country, its people. He has liked He Yan but not taken up any evil intention to make her his wife (till now). They should just show him supporting He Yan and Xiao Jue against He Rufei and Chanc Xu. He can be a good friend and just move on with his maid.
Why did the FL take a liking to ML? It just feels out of nowhere
She thinks he is handsome and is a nice person. She sees him aloof from others, someone who is not interested in status or power or money. That's why she took a liking for him. I depicted this from what she told his cousin. Other than that, I don't think she has fallen in love for him, its just a kind of admiration I think.

For me, at least the leads had a good screen time, beautiful moments even without being actually together without any interference from irritating SML( Chu Zhao sometimes, still) and SFL. Their misunderstanding did not last long. So its a win for me! Can't wait for them to be together officially now!
Lets just hope they don't follow Ye Han's story according to the novel.

In the novel, He Yan had a rebirth. So her mom thinks her daughter died so she blamed herself and the family members for that. She later testified against Hu Rufei to the majesty. He Yan was a little upset but she never resented her. In the novel, the woman died later.

Even in the novel, it was not told how Xiao Jue knew. He just said wasn't today your birthday. When He Yan asked how did he know? He told her her ability to deceive was inconsistent and full of holes. Just like what the drama showed. If I remember correctly, the fake uncle asked her if her birthday was soon. And she said it was after spring equinox. That was the only mention. Other than that how Xiao Jue knew is pure mystery.
Chu Zhao had a lot of screentime in today's episodes, also He Rufei, but with the drama only having 10 episodes remaining (now 8), they had to show the palace politics. All of these issues discussions between Chanc Xu, his daughter, Chu Zhao, his maid, He Rufei all form the base towards the climax.
I hope the duration of the episodes increase now at least.
