i can really see the DUKE SU charm here even though ml's role is way different
Haha that role is so engraved in me, everytime Wang Xingyue does historical dramas, I remember Duke Su. On that note, Li Pei Yi and Duke Su would be such a powerful couple, like Huaijin is really cute and smart, but Li Pei Yi and Duke Su would be dreaded by others together.

The comedy will reduce, as the problems spurge and they need to solve them one by one as they are abiding by the novel but I hope a little of it is kept in every episode! But about 2FL, she actually turns positive, so she isn't a threat!
If we go by the emojis in the schedule, I think the upcoming two episodes, ep 15-16 are going to be the last two which will provide comedy! The serious part is starting, from 17-18! The later episodes ig will have comedic elements, but I think now the balance shifts, it would be more serious!

Their plan to call the scholars was just between them, no one else knew! She felt what if Dan did the attack and then save them to make the other scholars trust him. But it was just a small doubt, she just thinks about it once, she doesn't do anything about it! She just felt a little conflicted! Don't worry it gets cleared soon!

Honestly I don't wonder if she is willing to go against Emperor's rule, with her boldness and attitude, she might be willing too! But can anyone go against the emperor's rule? Like how can the emperor be persecuted! Also as a hint in the synopsis they say everything is connected to right prime minister and a concubine, so I don't think they will include the emperor. Max he might know, and hence feel guilty about not doing anything! But in any case, how can she or anyone persecute emperor! That's why my guess is they might not take that route!
But I think there is a lot left, like really a lot, as its based on the novel!
I don't know, for me the pacing seems correct! Everyday something is happening, even according to the schedule and emojis released, everything seems great for now. We have to wait and see for the end!
On a side note, the amount of people who die as victims/criminals/witnesses/consequences of investigation/accidents, in every episode is concerning! Its scary, if this continues for the rest 20 episodes, no one except the leads would survive in the palace!
