My girl is evil, lol, she remembered the one she likes told her not to injure herself while investigating cases, hence she fed the poison to her master to understand what it is! Lol!
Palace is such a sad place. Everyone has a story, and sometimes what we see from our perception, might make or sound someone as villain, but we actually don't know what they went through for them to be that person! Every person might be just wanting to survive and be a little happy at first, but as bad happened with them, they decided to take revenge, and later do bad to others, the cycle never ends! I have a love/hate relationship with palace politics always, but they are doing it with such a good balance of comedy and seriousness that I am so much enjoying it!
Such a brilliant move to show us his flashback, through Zhang San's diary in every episode for the last few minutes, instead of taking one episode full for the entire flashback! This keeps us guessing, wanting for more, along with the mystery for the people who are not novel readers!
To make the audience understand that its his own biological child, I guess they made the same actor play it!
In the novel there 0 affection, its just because he was a kid, his son who was manipulated throughout his life, hence ML did not kill him. But yes, actually just like ML, his son is a victim too! So many people who read the novel felt, his future could be different, so hopefully in the drama they change that! Lets see!
I'm undecisive about watching this drama... Is there lots of supernatural things/elements in this drama or is…
Nothing is supernatural here! There is mystery, murder cases, mostly women victims! The entire thing is set up in historical premises! There are 7 cases, all connected to the palace. FL is a detective/investigator, ML is a smart astronomer with photogenic memory who join hands to find the culprits, who seem to be someone powerful in the palace. FL also has a traumatic past, again connected to the palace!

He was being good to them, maybe trying to be on their good side, then suddenly when he got chance he had a kind of poisonous powder which he spread on them, or something like that, if I remember correctly!
