I perceived it as a HE for Xanxia genre For me was similar with LBFD ending (saw in your list you seen that one) . He returns in last scene.

It is not ruined. Idk if you read all. For me it ends like LBFD, he returns in the last scene and they look at eachother and smile . As long as ZY is alive his sould does not die acc with the life span spell. So for me is a HE, I was ok with it. If you can not get past that, you may stop middle of ep 40 right after their wedding. But really last epsiodes 35-40 worth watching, amazing acting and also great fight scenes.

I think he got with wdb at another level so for sure next projects will be more challenging than what he filmed prior to WDB.

Also the last scene starts with ZY telling all the things she wished for from him so it is somehow linked with the line you mentioned.

Are different genres so we can not compare. TLP was excellent for Xanxia, while WDB was a life slice. SBMS is modern one. Regardless of the genre if XZ is in it I am sure is something worth watching.

if you take only that line in consideration yes, but there were also other lines like where he told ZY that she can retrieve what she lost if she really wishes for - which was also somewhat similar with how the last scene with ZY started- she wishes for the big wedding and all the things he promised her. But regardless of lines, I was convinced by his looks, his eyes. For me it was the look of somebody who said I'm back with his eyes ! :D

That was my impression yes, also from the looks on his eyes. But as I mentioned can be interpreted by each watcher on how they perceive the overall and lines. Even as sad one,compared with novel as they were not shown with kids and carefree life. But for me was ok!I am at peace with this ending.

That was the last melon on it, either in December or early 2024. I would for sure be happy if earlier :D

Well as I understood the last scene. When the flowers bloomed the snow rosa appeared and bloomed too. Out of it he returned. For me the scene was really similar with LBFD where he returns in the garden from the moon. But yes, they do not show more so each with their own thoughts. You can even see it as sad because they were not shown with kids and carefree as in novel. For me personally I am ok with the ending. Loved the show!

I interpreted the ending as a happy one for Xanxia genre. If you seen LBFD and you thought that ended well, for me was same feeling. Last scene reunion with SY coming back : flowers bloomed and allowed snow rosa to appear and out of it SY returned. So I am ok with the ending!
