My theory is that JXB is already in love with YNX which is why he can recognize her even if her body totally changes. For him it's like a six sense, it may not always be due to the way she smells or any particular sound she makes, more like her impact on him. Which is why when a couple falls in love, they are able to sometimes recognize each other in a loud, crowded room, before they actually 'see' each other. That's why even when he isn't paying close attention and he passes her by on the street, he stops and turns around. Because regardless of whether she's in one body or another, something in him picks it up and registers that she's the one in front of him regardless of appearance.

He's the third person in a love triangle. He didn't get the girl, but he still pines over her years after she married. He can't handle her death so constantly dissolves into rage due to her loss.

It’s always everyone’s fault but his. Like XFF said, he never takes responsibility for his actions. It was his mother’s and sister’s fault. And the Princess fault. But not his fault.

After watching today’s episode. I have to agree. SYR is the bigger evil.

Eldest Princess was very sincere with SYR, for all her antics, she didn’t kill XFF’s dad or brother, so there’s still a modicum of decency in her. SYR didn’t hesitate to kill his wife to please his lover. I now understand the scene where she castigated SYR for killing his wife and said he must be punished. Initially, I thought she was pretending, but now I question if she really wanted XFF dead.

Shen Yurong is a piece of s*it. If he could bury the wife he claims he loves alive, then there’s nothing stopping him from wiggling out of a marriage to a woman he despises. Eldest princess is delusional if she thinks SYR loves just because she loves him.

I pity the Princess because of her background, but just because she was abused, doesn’t justify breaking up another’s marriage and other bad things she’s done.I don’t like the Li family, but I pity Li Jin being made a scapegoat for a child that is not his because of his father’s greed. What a mess!

WHEN will the father find out about his wife’s affair and the miscarriage of her lover’s child? I think knowing the truth will absolve Jiang Li of the cloud of suspicion she’s had to live all her life as well as place her father’s remorse at an all time high for failing to protect his wife and his daughters. I hope the drama doesn’t gloss over this. If it does, then it’s shoddy writing. The truth deserves to be revealed.

🤔😅 Logically, if there was a heavy downpour she would have drowned to death and not clawed her way out. But this drama requires me to turn off my brain and just go with the flow.

FL's friend is a match made for FL's cousin. I always knew they'd end up together even with her crushing on Ye. They push each other's buttons but at heart are jovial, straightforward, loyal and frank people. Can't wait for them to end up together.

I love that family! They are so real! Compared to the perverseness of the royal family and the family life of officials, I would much rather be a rich merchant. As it seems that most officials are corrupt, moralistic, sanctimonious and crooked.

LOL. The scene where they tried to force an abortifacient on the maid to make her terminate her pregnancy was horrendous. I lost respect for grandma after that scene. What? He can make his maid pregnant but she cannot give birth to a male child until his wife does so? Then he should have kept it in his pants! I don't understand these people.

After watching episodes 25 and 26, I'm wondering what the odds are in favor of evil stepmother arranging for little Yue's death and am even wondering about the death of Jiang Li's bio mom.

It's a little too convenient that all the women and children in Jiang Li's father's life ended up dead, deranged or banished just to make way for the new wife and her future children.

I'm guessing that if she could blatantly set fire to the man she loved, what's to stop her from drowning the child of a potential rival or arranging for a woman to die so she can marry the woman's husband?

Folks, what are your thoughts? I don't mind spoilers from anyone who has read the book. This woman seems to be quite evil.

Yeah, it's shoddy writing. This is taking artistic license too far and is making me question what the writer is smoking. It can't be everyone's main agenda to get rid of her!

When and where does it end?

Truth is both stepmother, and Rouyao have bigger fish to fry than having vengeance over Jiang Li. They had better focus on their true problems - like the past lover which is about to be revealed, and for the latter, getting along with her potential in laws.... sheesh.
