I noticed that as well. It comes out when she talks to palace people she dislikes, like the authoritative way she spoke to that phony teacher and also the eunuch. Or the dressing down she gave Yan Lin's friend for speaking to her rudely. Her nature is not submissive at all.
What episode did you start loosing interest? Also, I get where you are coming from. The show is fast paced, but…
Agreed. I felt like dropping it after two episodes, but I stuck with it and started enjoying it by episode 3. Now I am at episode 10 and it is as addictive as crack! lol! An addictive watch.
Can anyone explains the ML's obsession with the qin? In the beginning, he would rather freeze to death than let go of his bloody qin so FL had to smash it to save him. In episode 8, instead of saving the FL from falling he grabs on to the qin! What a role reversal!
Hu Zi (Jiang Long) and Xin Tong (Yuwen) met at an event 😭😭 Their smile specially Jiang Long's so precious.…
Awwww. So sweet! They were glad to see each other. Wonder why they didn't have a kiss scene in this drama? is the actor against kiss scenes per contract? I wonder.
I have a suspicious mind, I'm wondering if Wufeng deliberately asked Han Ya Si to write YWS a letter about her origins, knowing fully well that she who was hungering for her family, would try to visit them and therefore entrap her or kill her. Because it is very suspicious that Han Ya Si left that message for her in the end.
And the fact that she is SW's wife and went to her family without any bodyguards is a gaping plot hole. It doesn't make sense that the Gong family is so comfortable, they would let out an important family member without any safety backup.
I'm so frustrated. There are better ways to end such a beautiful, stylistic drama than just have the ML look clueless and dumbfounded at the end. (Sort of how I feel). And yet, I can't bring myself to rewatch the drama yet, cause my pain is too raw.

What to do? Does anyone have any recommendations of recently airing dramas to help my withdrawal symptoms? BTW - I've watched Mysterious Case Notebook, Legend of Zhouhua, Legend of Anle, Destined, TTEOTM. I need something new to distract me..
I find the whole YQ death very fishy. When YWS saw her, she said her body was already irrecognizable. It could…
I don’t recall her saying Yun Que’s body was unrecognizable, could you tell me what scene? In episode 17, they actually showed her execution and corpse, so there’s no doubt that she’s dead.
