I agree with you. She wouldn’t do any thing to jeopardize Ziyu. So I’m guessing that Lady Wuji told her that the book is fake and the information on it is not real. Then it wouldn’t matter if GSJ has the book or not. With GZY father’s actions, I am convinced that Ziyu is his bio son, not a bastard. Why else would the father try so hard yo train him and protect him? I think it is possible that Lady Wuji has set a trap for the Gong brothers.

Irony, is Ziyu doesn't really want to be the leader either. But his cousins got his dander up because they accused him of being incompetent and a bastard. Yeah, but why do I feel that Weishan is low key falling for him? She was surprised that even in danger, he put the pelt under her head (seeing to her comfort). He also stood in front of her to protect her when she was being questioned about her identity. Boy has fallen deep for her already, and I'm sure, with her soft heart, she appreciates it. Other than her sister, no one has shown that level of care and consideration to her before.

He trusts her instinctively. I just love how he knew she wasn't going to betray him even when she didn't believe what he said at first. He was still determined to be with her before getting a negative from her and going away.

How do you expect her to react? How would it feel to date a murder suspect? Everything would have gone through her mind when she learned the news. I'm glad that the drama made her question herself, him and their future. That is a normal reaction right there. It would not be normal for her to gloss over it, like it didn't matter. Instead it shows her coming to terms with it and deciding to support him anyway which is much preferable to my mind.

The whole thing was in the papers, so everyone knows who her son is. It would make sense that the brother is tracking the Politician mom and the director because he doesn't believe Do Ha is out of the country. That part is reasonable. It wouldn't surprise me if he starts tracking Sol Hee after this. All roads lead to Rome, and all.

It isn't just that they broke up. She had an offer for internship that would have solifidified her career by giving her work experience. All her classmates where doing it as well. He convinced her not to take it saying he will take care of her for the rest of her life. Later the guy dumps her, she has no real work experience to fall back on, and has to waitress and work in diners just to make ends meet. She finally found a job in her field but the wage they paid her was so low because she had no work experience. She took the job because she has no choice and started building her career from scratch. I can understand the guy dumping her and going abroad with someone else, yes he's a jerk , but love is what it is.... What I can't endure is how he made her so dependent on him and ruined her chance at livelihood and then dumped her. Manipulative bastard. When he came back, he started up with his gaslighting techniques, thinking she would fold and come back to him. But she was much stronger than he thought and had a lot of support from friends and colleagues.

I am incensed at the grandma and cannot contain my anger. If she wanted Yiying as a granddaughter in law, why not have her marry Hou? After all, they are sleeping together and in love with each other. She would still be by married into the family. But I guess this is one way grandma disregards Hou and treats him as nothing. I frankly don’t believe that she really cares for either of her grandsons.

Also the way she humiliated Xiaoyao can hardly be borne. CX was right that they deliberately cooked up that scene to humiliate her, because there were many ways of letting her know that Jing was unavailable, without embarrassing her like that. No wonder CX wants to kill Jing because he saw this coming, and knew XY would be hurt. And he tried to warn her several times. King is partly to blame because he could have warned her before she walked right into this.

Cang Xuan rocks! I like how he is portrayed as a decent, upstanding fellow. What I love about him is that he always respects Xiaoyao's choices even when he disagrees with them. He shares his opinions with her but never tries to control her. And I can honestly understand why he doesn't want Jing for her. Which brother would want his sister entangled with a man engaged to another woman? He has said that Jing should break up his engagement first before courting his cousin, which is the correct advice any guardian would give in that scenario.
He's able to bend over backwards to accommodate his enemies if it would mean that XY can be saved as he did with Xiang Liu. Of the three men, he's my favorite character. I love his undying loyalty and love for his cousin. I'm just sad that he's in love with her and can never actualize that love, because she sees him only as family.

Because he knows that XY is in love with Jing but is merely being polite to Fenglong. He has no reason to be jealous of Fenglong. But Jing and XY have a history that he knows nothing about and it is eating him up with jealousy

I think it’s very clear XY has romantic feelings for both men, though she has chosen Jing for her future and XL as a friend. She has deep love for her cousin but in a familial way, so much that she prioritizes him above all else and would die for him. To me CX and XY are endgame. Their love for each other is so beautiful and precious, I love to watch. Most viewers prioritize romantic love. I prioritize family love. Because it is so rare that such bonds are expressed and developed so beautifully in dramas.

Breaks my heart. Do we all remember why he chose to become king in the first place? It was to protect XY and the people he loved after almost alll the people he loved died . Does that make him a villain? Not in my book. Poor guy! If he didn’t choose to become king, he’d probably be dead on a battlefield somewhere like his father.

I took a point off my rating because of the ending. Not a fan of the kind of ending which leaves it open for the viewer’s interpretation. It’s such a lazy way of ending things. I was prepared for either a sad or a happy ending so long as it is logical and makes sense in keeping with the trajectory of the drama. What I dislike is this dreamlike sequence and over saccharine ending that makes the viewer doubt if the characters really faced the challenges they did. Apart from the ending, this was a bang up show!
