This drama fills me with a lot of dichotomy, here's another one: On one hand I despise the FL's younger brother, so I hope he gets killed. But on the other hand, I know she's going to be heartbroken that her brother is killed and will need to seek vengeance, so I hope he stays alive. Maybe incapacitated so he doesn't harm anyone else, but I don't want the FL to suffer since she is so kind natured.

I don't think ML and FL have much chemistry. Bu they are individually very strong actors so their separation scenes were so heart breaking. It's funny for me as a viewer, for one thing, I don't care if they are together or not, since their scenes together lacks that sizzle that characterizes raw chemistry. But at the same time, I hope that they stop being sad, so if being together would remove the angst, then please go for it.

Smart guy. Mo Bu Fan - what I like about this drama is that everyone possesses a level of intelligence. They don't insult the viewer by making their characters dumb. What I don't like is the Princess - she likes to show off her intelligence like she's smarter than everyone else, and that makes her dumb.

Why did the ratings fall???

I’m yet to find a recent Xanxia drama that ends really well, though I’m at peace with the end as I didn’t expect any different. I still wish they could have added at least 10 more episodes to give proper closure to the arcs and characters. It definitely feels like a rushed ending. Maybe they had to reshoot some scenes due to the episode cut and only the leads and a few supporting actors were available and they made up the rest of the ending with CGI. How else are we supposed to interpret the last four episodes?

Agreed. I wish we could watch a Director's cut. If only Netflix would buy the series and make that a condition for them to add more scenes to flesh out the drama. One can only hope.....

They made GYJW much more boring than XL. Honestly, I wish they didn't have to stop at 40 episodes. With 10 more episodes, they could have fleshed him out better so we understand his motivations. Right now, he's just looking like a pale clone of XL with none of his honor and integrity.

The drama clearly shows what happens when the abused becomes the abuser. Honestly, this drama feels incomplete. It should have shown Soon ho come out of the coma, the video of the abuse played out in the news, and the congressman forced to resign.., for the viewers to have closure with this drama. As it is, the biggest bully gets away scots free (congressman), even Beom Seok never really paid the price for almost killing a person. This is a drama that desperately needs a second season to complete its arc.

LSS also removed a key ingredient to his become DG 2. Unless he gets his evil bone back, he cannot be DG. My fear is that to ease LSS pain, TTJ just might take up the mantle as DG 2. She is indeed his weakness.

For all LSS's claims that she doesn't love CJM/TTJ, she's spending an awful lot of her power protecting him. Twice we have watched scenes where she put herself between the Devil Lord goons and TTJ to protect him. It's one of the reasons why despite her protests, he still opens up to her and believes that she loves him.(Ep 32, 33, 34)

I'm missing Pian Ran. How I wish they'd give her a reincarnation arc. I can't bear for YQY to be forever lonely.

I agree. They made her seem like a hard hearted selfish jade. Not once did YXW bother apologizing to TTJ and explaining that she thought he killed her grandmother. Not once. So TTJ never knew the full story of how he was manipulated by YBC. I really hope YBC pays for her crimes. Poisoning her grandma will bring her curses and bad karma. And like everything else, became so unnecessary in the end as more than half the country was massacred by the rebels.
