I just dropped by to say THE OSTs ARE BANGER, HIT THE SPOT IN EVERY SCENE
Definitely a great OST. Til the End of the Moon is only other recent series I've seen where the OST is amazing and adds so much to the series, creating an unforgetable MOOD.
How anyone can get to ep 2 and think "Oh....this is gonna be a cheery ending" is beyond me! :D :D :D The whole synopsis is big scary demon shows up at the Demon Hunting organization that he DESTROYED EIGHT YEARS PREVIOUSLY, and in exchange for helping them wants to DIE making another character swear a blood oath TO KILL HIM. (Literally plot is completely outlined to us by ep2 in conversation between two ML). So ending is clear: He gonna die. The only mysteries are what went down 8 years ago, why is he helping them now, why does he want to die now, what is connection between him and the girl, how many boxes of tissues will I go though to get all these answers.....? Still knowing it will be tragic, you still are intrigued to want to KNOW AND SEE THE ANSWERS PLAY OUT ;D
It is such a great synopsis! You know it gonna hurt, but it gonna be a good hurt.
Good question I also thought alot about this one... And by the drama I don't think there's any relationship between…
I agree with you. Also keeping the same actors creates more a sense of parallel between their stories and brings the viewer into a more intimate attachment to the characters. Same done in TTEOTM which is also another amazing story.
TTEOTM was interesting because the different character in past comes face to face with the actual character in past who is re-living the point of view of his 'enemy'. So interesting to see yourself from another's perspective while in them! So trippy.
In my opinion, according to Aeng-cho's story, first she said that someone had been writing her spells in a book…
This makes a lot of sense and may actually be what the writers intended. It also makes that last scene with him walking away with the book of spells..... he could have swapped them and just destroyed the original?
If it was more condensed with more fantasy elements, it may have been great. It had an interesting premise. Lot of draggy parts in middle; honestly I almost dropped it, but felt compelled to finish it mainly because of Ro Woon. The characters were also sometimes hard to like, especially when applied to the double three-somes (it was made waaaaaaay more complicated/difficult than it needed to be; I blame the writers for trying to make lasting drama (for 10 eps) out of an easy to solve dilemma (that could have been solved in half an ep). I feel it is more the writing maybe. The actors did good with what they were given and there were some really nice cinematography scenes. It worth a watch if you like dragged out webdramas with characters you will yell at the screen for their idiocy at times.
Scrolling though movies on Netflix.... "Ooooo this looks cute, fun and light." Half a box of tissues later..... "Damn you Netlfix for tricking me! Well played....well played....." Totally worth it! This was a surprisingly really good, deep movie that makes you think back on life and first love..... but man does it hit hard. Loved all the old tech in it too! Man....life was so different back then with pagers, video rental stores, and pay phones that gobbled up all the coins:D
after finishing my rewatch on netflix I still have no sympathy or compassion for beomseok. they all should've…
He's a difficult character. You sympathize with him due to bullying and his adopted father issues, but he totally redirects his insecurities and blames the wrong people for his problems. :/
This was fun and can be watched in one day! This ended up being way more wholesome than I expected from the title :D I am always appreciative of the depth of emotion Japanese actors bring to their roles/stories. And the inner monologue had me laughing so much!
Also, you KNOW you've seen too many Chinese dramas when you recognize EVERY SINGLE SET LOCATION (and can name at least 5 other dramas/movies you've seen each one in).
It is such a great synopsis! You know it gonna hurt, but it gonna be a good hurt.

I may need help. ;D
