I watched the first half of this one first and have had the rest on hold.....watching a bunch of other stuff instead🤣 I finished Fangs of Fortune even (which was amazing btw). Then I tripped upon this again and am like...oh....maybe I should finish this.....🤣

I feel like I am with you. I got half way and am wondering why there is still half to go??? 🤣 I've watched a bunch of other series in my procrastination to finish this.

Girlfriend. They never married. She took off overseas and broke all connections. She ran away from her societal expectations. Maybe she found happiness elsewhere? We will never know.

I love this series. It definitely is for a more mature/adult audience who have experience in love when it comes to forced family relationships due to societal/cultural expectations/pressure. I do feel like the writers somewhat drag out the FL struggle to let go of her family's expectations, but it is the reality for many Korean women and a BIG plot point of the story. Do you go for the safe path even if it is loveless/dull/predictable or do you risk it all on the unknown path for real love? How many times has your Korean mother told you to go for 'security first' and that 'love can grow' later over time 🙄 And they wonder why so many people are unhappy in marriage (just look at the marriage of her older sister in this series!!! 🙄🙄🙄). To amp up the drama in this, the ML has the added negative Korean societal stigma of being a single father. Just because he is there for his son, he has to be ignored and unloved for the rest of his life? Why does he deserve that? Should he just accept that? Everyone is telling them to not be together, but will....or should....they listen to that?

The ending of this series is so sweet. I love it.

They both got a lot of baggage for sure.

I'll admit. I did feel bad for her during this moment. It hurts to have your hopes be crushed like that.

At least his eventually air. I lost count of how many actors I've loved and series that I wanted to see that just never come to light 😭😭😭
