To get some kind of closure, it made me go back to Unintentional Love Story again to fast forward to just watch the side couple scenes to see the boys again in their future :)

It felt like it just trailed off at the end. Totally agree with you. It never gave any more info regarding the father and what the 'incident' that caused the abuse (though most people can probably infer the reason). Not real closure on their feelings either. But if they (writers?) assume we know of this couple (side couple in Unintentional Love Story) then we already know their pending outcome, so maybe they felt it didn't need it....? I don't know....it left the ending a little empty to me....it was missing something. This series felt like a chaotic memory flashback that didn't fit all the jumbled pieces together; just left the pieces scattered across the table for us. I did appreciate the beautiful cinematography and the rest of the story. It felt like we were just missing a whole ep or two or something. Idk..... I still rate it as a great watch/story despite this.
was this supposed to be before Unintentional love story or are the two bls not related ?
It is a side story that covers a little of the past of the side couple in Unintentional love story. Neither is a pre-req for the other. You don't even have to watch both. Watch any in any order; doesn't matter.
I saw you watched History 4 (and may have liked it? Curious to hear your thoughts!) but not In Between yet. Was…
History 4 was way better than others were letting on. Other made it sound like it was so toxic, but it wasn't. I am not sure why some peoples' comments on it were so off from reality? It was like they never watched it.
Thanks for reminding me about In Between. At first I couldn't find it on my streaming platforms, but now I see it is on youtube, so I'll try that out to see if works.
On ep 8 so far..... These guys are so great together. Love their vibe. Also, grandma is so amazing! I get a kick out of the product placements on GMMTV series :D Also my vision (hope)....I always felt that Taem was bi. I'd love to see her with another strong female;) P.S. The announcers at the dance were soooooo cute/fine! Loved them!
Ok. I made it thru ep19.... but now everyone is going their separate ways? And who I thought was the main badie got killed already! Like WTF. I need some motivation to keep going! Give me hope guyys!
Just did a rewatch. Forgot how CUTE this series was. Some of the best kiss scenes; great subtle acting of leads also. The awkward, uncomfortable closeness/spark/feels are so well done. The 'rejection' scene was so GOOD. All the emotions were present: hope, determination, hesitation, fear, denial, uncertainty.... They did a great job. Go Taiwan! A fun series to powerwatch with a satisfying ending. And I LOVE the side couple. It was refreshing how quickly they moved compared to mains ;D
Just watched episode one and found it a little odd that these two guys are perfectly comfortable having sex but…
Depends on person. Kissing can be seen as 'more intimate' or 'more meaningful' (feelings wise) than just sex. Sex is just sex. It is easy to have sex with no kissing. Lust is sex; sex is lust. If it is decent good writing, then maybe it just means something along the lines of their emotional state toward one another: It isn't love yet. But it means something to the individual; not all people are the same.
The eyes the eyes you guys the eyes.the way that they looked at each other when kohei touched taichi hand and…
I loved that scene you mention at beginning also. It is the softness of it that I think gives the butterflies or warm fuzzy feels. Seriously, if someone looks at you like that AND gives you yummy food.....just grab on and don't let go!
Just the looks and glances alone of showing love (just sweetness)..... my top fav ones are DNA Says Love You and Plus&Minus (both Taiwanese dramas).
Hasn't it been like 4 years? Think it's a done deal. I don't understand why they still try these in China. Is…
The companies who created them could license them to international companies. It is often complex but doable. But money is usually the biggest thing. Why sell it when you can wait for the winds to change (meaning laws/regulations could change). But also exploring that as an option could cost too much and/or company doesn't have time nor resources to deal with it. Ideally, it would be better for more collaborative projects with outside groups (look at the release of Meet You at the Blossom which is a Chinese BL filmed in Thailand using Chinese actors/crew/props/etc.....a collaboration between Thailand and Taiwan as a way to get a Chinese BL out there in the international sphere. I see this as a test case....so lets see how it goes and if more future collaborations will follow as a way to completely avoid China censorship. It still sucks for Chinese fans....unless they can get outside their countries' highly censored limited internet without getting in trouble.)
I am sick of all these Chinese series that will never air. What a waste. Tencent should just sell it to an outside China media source so they can air it. Jeebus.
Gong Jun/WKX's flirting was unprecedented. Is it possible he enchanted the censorship board so WoH got away with…
His flirting was also 'over-the-top' so it could have been taken more as humour not-to-be-taken-seriously. Like clearly, even Zishu's annoyance would have been acceptable to censors. There is a fine line between humor and truth ;D Like how they got away with hugging because the writers made them 'brothers' from the same sect (so it was seen as understandable). Just cleverness maybe.
Hi, It's my second time watching WOH and there is one thing I don't get. In ep 26 min 41:40 Lao Wen asks Ah Xu…
This is a great philosophical question! It would be great to know what you think of it thus far..... My two cents based on life interactions: Sometimes you have to let others work through their own issues....and let them come to you on their own.....even if you KNOW. A'Xu was being respectful because he and Kexing are 'on the same wavelength' (aka soulmate vibe). It is clear that Wen Kexing needed his own time to work through his own internal feelings; otherwise he would have been defensive or just LIED to redirect. A'Xu doesn't want that.....he'd rather WAIT for Kexing to feel comfortable/ready to just tell him himself. It is much more meaningful that way. And even after the Yi Baiye confrontation, when Kexing realized that A'Xu had KNOWN but didn't pressure him (and clearly didn't care about his past; he trusted him anyway).....you can tell it meant a lot to him to have that level of trust from A'Xu. A'Xu had no doubts and gave him his space which is what Kexing needed. Some people are like that. I think A'Xu is like that too, hense why he knew that it was better to just silently trust and allow Kexing to come to him on his own time/terms. Some personalities need that instead of words (words are wind; actions speak louder than words).
Really thought Zhang Zhe Han and Gong Jun both were awesome. But, seriously, Gong Jun made it hard to pay attention…
Because Youku is headquartered in China so they have to follow Chinese regulations. International sites don't have to follow those rules hense why his name is on Viki and Netflix.
Chinese entertainment industry is notorious for its cancel culture within China. It is insane....and sadly happens to many actors/directors/writers/etc.
