I can't seem to find this drama's episodes anywhere. HELP!!!
I am hoping Netflix and/or Viki pick it up. If you use any of these apps, please make a request as a user for them to get this so we can all watch it!

This series was plagued with censorship problems YEARS before Zhang Zhe Han, so it was buried before this.

This series was plagued with censorship problems YEARS before Zhang Zhe Han problems, but I'll still hope for 🤡 an international platform buying it if it is even possible.

My annual check to see if this ever gets sold to international network so we can all watch it, cause it sure as hell will never air in China-bans-everything-land 🤡

Why must China suffocate so much beautiful creativity? Alas....

I find it really great (and a tad amusing in a good way) that Japan bought and is airing a Chinese drama banned in China that also contains Korean actor.

I've sent requests to both Netflix and Viki so hopefully they can pick it up after it airs in Japan on lala tv. I hope you all do same if you use these also.

He lost 90% of his inner strength, not his martial art. So he still able to do martial arts, but everytime he…
Skill can take one far. The Bica poison prevented him from using his 'power' ....but DeFeisheng taught him the basics of his 'wind poplar' power/skill which seemed to help Liuanhua give a boost to his basic skills without utilizing his core power (that was keeping him alive....the buffer against Bica poison killing him thanks to his Yangzouman internal skill). Therefore, he seems pretty powerful in that end fight with his senior. His skill level is insane and the fight sequences I feel show that well. Skill can beat pure power (fight smarter, not harder). But no.....technically, he never gets his full strength back like he had in that opening fight sequence we saw. So no, he never recovers his strength in that sense.

But the story is poetic. Because he lost his power, it caused him to rethink and relive his life, which is the whole point of the story: His journey of discovering what life really means to him. Or maybe his REAL strength is really is SKILL and UNDERSTANDING of martial arts. His real strength was never from the raw power he put behind it.

Yes! I couldn't agree more! The added 10 years he got after his 'death' were a bonus. He was able to reflect and rewrite and even relive his life. I love it. I love how we can think so deeply about series <3

Firstly, it's just unbelievable that the top two martial artists in the world could turn out to be two complete…
Grim, I think you actually have the character's view of himself spot on. In his view, he is flawed and made mistakes...and thus karma is playing out. He'd be the first to tell you that his younger self was a fool and a 'hero' he was not. The ML realized he was so focused on martial arts itself that he failed to look at the rest of life.... hense why his character over last 10 years became more 'scheming'. He learned to use his brain more and became more observant. He paid more attention. He spoke to and interacted with all kinds of people he never did before. He tried new skills outside of martial arts. He changed how he interacted with others and tried a different path. He sort of HAD to because he lost the only thing he was good at: his martial skills. Sure, ML didn't PLAN on changing, he really only just wanted to escape the marital world, but his experiences changed him despite his intentions. The martial world (or karma?) kept dragging him back into it despite the desire to avoid it ("The tree wants to be still, but the wind keeps blowing"). I feel that Babyface has the view that the other characters who are/were close to him view him..... they think more positively of him overall despite the past (for various personal reasons). The story is interesting to me due to this duality. A lot of our views depend on our own perspectives. Our ML is sort of an anti-hero in a way. He views himself differently than the way his friends' view him. What view matters?.....the one we have of ourselves or the one that others' have of us? Which is more valid? It is similar to the philosophical debate of what matters most: intentions or outcomes? The only question really is, do you feel he was able to appease karma and 'make things right' after his past 'wrongs'/mistakes/failures? Was he able to redeem himself (in his own view versus the view of others)?

I disagree that he was trying to heal/cure himself: he clearly avoided a cure multiple times in the series, and it seemed more that he felt he deserved to be poisoned due to his past failures. His friends tried to heal/cure him, while he actively avoided it (and even made his condition worse multiple times). He clearly didn't see his life as important which frustrated his friends (and many viewers). Likewise, I feel him being a doctor was just happenstance. He needed to make money and was clever/smart, so the profession fit. He never claimed to be a saint ;D

Lian Hua's personality remains a mystery to me. He stops being arrogant and learns to appreciate a humble and…
Totally see this! He felt much like someone with a split personality at times. Could he have been broken so badly that his mind almost, but not completely split? I was also wondering if the bica poison had already given him early steps into madness. An added facet is that when one is trapped in the pit of self-loathing and/or depression, it is very much a selfish place to be in since your thoughts are so condensed on ones self. When you are in a dark place, it is difficult to see all the light outside of all the friends/people who care and would be affected by his actions. I think as time progressed, he could see a part of this light and we saw him shift slightly, like why he was big about making it look like he was taking care of himself at times so as probably to ease Duobing's mind. His friends were happier when they thought he was fine, so he lies to make them feel good. It does show that he fails to think long-term in that they will be more hurt later when they find out he is lying. It is like Lianhua lives only in the moment. We do see those fleeting guilty looks of his with Duobing. But despite that, his indifference and disconnectedness feels primary to his persona.

Question regarding Shan Gudao at end:

Lianhua destroyed Gudao's meridians so that he couldn't do martial arts. But as he was scaling the steps, his meridians suddenly all exploded moments later. Clearly EVERYONE, including Lianhua, were surprised and horrified by this. It clearly wasn't expected. So..... why did his meridians explode? My only guesses are the following, but maybe someone(s) knows the real answer for has better guess:

Guess 1) The internal power he stole from his master was too much, so it was the cause?
Guess 2) The only thing we ever heard about that caused that was the Yin aspect of that flower that had both Ying/Yan properties. Did he somehow sneak just some of the Yin petals at some point?

Just watching along and it has been just your normal BL (nothing too great/nothing too bad) and then BAM, the end of ep6 smacks me in the face with some realistic (LGBTQ+), intense pent-up passion with chemistry off the charts! Was not expecting THAT. So rare to find leads who are comfortable with one another like this. Hot damn..... you'all warned me but you'all
