Huge fan of bromances also! This series is one of my favs in terms of bromance. So intense and hits ya hard; the evolution of the characters was sooooo goooooood. My all time favorites are Sherlock and Holmes AND Magnito and Professor X. So....here are some bromances I loved so much that I have watched these series multiple times to soak in all the little details.

Ah yes! Merlin from BBC! That was a good one! Good bromances.... you just stumble across them sometimes. I love it when I go to watch something and unexpectedly BAM a pleasantly good bromance hits me. Lifes little pleasures.

this show is gonna be my first wuxia, i think 🥲 i love the cast and the bromance so much already ❤️ time…
Word of Honor. Great bromance and wuxia. Lots of fun fight scenes also and clever conversations between the main leads.

Also another great Bromance (though NOT wuxia) is Beyond Evil. Also a big mystery and investigations. That show was so intense and their friendship growth was epic. Nirvana in Fire also has a good bromance though it isn't as front and center as in Mysterious Lotus Casebook, but I still feel it is excellent! I am a huge fan of bromances also. Professor X and Magnito in X-men AND Sherlock and Holmes are like my all time favorite bromances :D

Binged watched this for the 2nd time, and I must say that it is even better the 2nd time. I noticed so many more little details. The conversations between Li Lianhua and Fang Duobing are so heartwarming and meaningful, especially the one in ep19 back at the Lotus house.

And when did Lianhua start calling him Xiaobao? I could hear it at one point, but didn't catch when or why it started....?

He has the skill....even if his power is reduced a lot. His skill is insane.

Just pay for one month of iQiYi 'VIP. It super cheap. You can power watch other series also as a bonus.

This role was definitely suited for him well and allowed to show his strengths.

happy ending? y/n???
No. You will cry a lot. Bittersweet ending. Still totally worth the watch because the ending makes sense for the character's journey.
Very poetic ending. He went to the sea....full circle from beginning to end. Bittersweet. Li Lianhua lived a happier more fulfilling life than Li Xiangyi. I feel it represents his last moments; which are happy since he is at peace. He is free like he wanted. Closure for his friends also since they know where he is.

(Also like this ending way better than the novel, which I felt was way too sad and I am glad this crew gave us a more poetic, simple ending with a still beautiful and flawless Li Lianhua.)

Hi do you know the difference between "gameboys level up" and "gameboys" the series?
The 'level up' edition is on Netflix and it just contains the original story from Gameboys but with some of the scenes reshot to make flow better and fit together better. Think of it as a 'director's cut'.

Beautiful and short film. Very poetic reflection of the past with regret at not understanding ones feelings. Amazing what we learn upon reflection over time. Part of growing up. I would love to see this into a longer series with these same actors. I'd also be happy with a simple continuation with somehow them meeting again in future to see how and where that goes.
