So glad I just started this so I'm not up to date yet. Gotta say, I love it...It keeps you yearning for more each ep. and the best part are the main leads characters. The one who decided for the leads to use their original voices should get my Bow. ML's voice is seductive, holy sh**, it's like hypnosis. And I got my full dose of Smart FL...wow, she is brilliant (bravo writer). If I am to nitpick, sometimes I feel like the FL mindset, views etc don't quite suit this era/society norms and values. For example, this is an era where women are seen as below man in a lot of ways and our FL talks a lot about equality this and that. As much as I appericiate it, it sort of feel farfetched for someone living in this female oppressed society to think this way. There are times when I hear her speak and I picture her character in the 21st century instead. And I'm not saying all of her views because even in that era I would accept and believe a girl wanting to choose someone she loves to marry or wanting to be educated etc. It's just that the extent the writer portrays her independence and values does not quite match this period. It would have been nice/impactful to see where she adopted this way of thinking from in this type of society. Tbh it's not a big thing (hey I can take this character anyday compared to the whiny damsel in distress one) but I just felt that about QY character.
This drama is like living in La La Land where you just sit with a glass of wine and relax. No stress or worry but very easy breezy. The leads are gorgeous and there are so many couples to fangal over. The story is not new but still enjoyable. The acting is not topnotch but okay enough...actually the ML acting has grown on me (I still cringe on his emotional scenes though) Oh did I mention How good looking everything is...Yep, everything is beautiful.

The story revolves around a murder case and the victim was a married man therefore the police are looking into who murdered him whilst uncovering his life. The centre of the investigation is the now widow Li XiaoNan who from the outside seemed like a person who has it all; a likeable personality, good job she is brilliant at and a loving devoted husband. However, what appears to be is not what's actually is and we learn about LXN's actual marriage life. P.S. Certain scenes in this drama are not for the faint heart and if you're sensitive to issues like domestic abuse, I would say, pass on this one or have your FF button on hand.
After watching too much BL, I sometimes forget the charm of Bromance and thanks for this drama, I am enjoying their reading in between the lines relationship. Shiro and Ichiro are actually going through what an actual couple do. Meet, get curious about eachother, get to know eachother's differences and personalities, live with eachother, take care and worry about eachother and maybe break up (the sneak peak from next ep. prev) and then maybe make up. And they are just Friends!....Wow (where can I get a friend like this??). See, Bromance's Charm.
I truly think that these Rom-Com with Sports or whatever plot should have at least 24ep. and nothing more. What exactly do they plan on putting in a 40 ep. Story like this???
If you specifically meant White, he's trying to find out who tried to kill his twin, and he suspects it may be…
Thank you...Oh the part of White's reason to join I get very well. It is the after he joined part I really don't get especially the gang thing, setting houses on fire etc... Like is it worth it???
They are trying to bring down a corrupt rich man who is using his money to influence politics/police and some…
Thank you. It's weird because in the last 4 ep. I've seen so far, the corrupt man whatever has not appeared so it makes it hard to invest in their vendetta against him.
For the first time ever, I really don't know how I feel about a BL drama because I don't know what's going on. .... Okay someone educate me, What are these boys doing? And Why? I have watched 4 ep. already and I'm not sure whether to continue or stop because I'm confused (believe me, I'm not that dense) I get the twin part and the purpose for the other twin to join the gang?? and now I'm stuck at AFTER the fact.... I will stop now before I confuse myself more.
What a Rollercoaster of Emotions in this ep. Can I just say, that Rooftop has witnessed some of the Very Iconic Scenes of this drama ..and that view is spectacular 😍 I am so mad at Pat's dad and wanted to punch him on their behalf. Like so he stole an opportunity that he ended up not utilising...like really. Okay, maybe he was young and stupid....but all these years, why didn't he apologise?? And how about now when she confronted him, why didn't he apologise. He is the bigger fool in all this. But honestly who has the energy to spent on hating someone for years 🙄 cause I don't.
P.S. Saw the viral news about speculation that Ohm has a girlfriend and fans ain't happy. Delulu much...This is the time where one should shout "Get a life!"
I for one Thoroughly Enjoyed this drama...I don't know whether its the narration or the whole space sci-fi genre but there was something so serine to it. It was quiete but in a good way and Lord knows I needed that type of drama at that particular time. So I would say, this is a drama that may depend on where you're mentally (mood and all), what time and who with you're watching it with To Enjoy It....well that was my case....
2022 and I have a new Love = This dorama. This is so much fun than I thought (yeah, I rolled my eyes when I read the summary). It is so imperfect and yet somewhat really good. ML and FL acting are the best part. Now I'm not so familiar with both actors (more so FL) but I really love the portrayal of their characters and how refreshing it is as they are both in their 30's (yeah they had been a lot of may-december couples or GenZ dramas lately). If I am to pick favourite then Liu Qing is such a cinnamon roll. He is so endearing and at the same time pitiful because of the way he is treated by FL. I'm on ep. 4 and I gotta say Wanqing's character needs to be checked. The worst part is noone seems to see how rude she can be and sort of enables her. I did understood how she was unhappy by the marriage to a stranger thingy (this trope never gets old) and yes I would be wary of them too but why become a jerkass. She could have just distance herself or better yet explain to LQ her grievances. But then again that wouldn't make for drama effe t would it...I so can't wait for her to find out about their childhood connection (again a trope that can't be put to rest). The actress is killing it though so I can't totally dislike her. I do have a soft spot for the other hot dude who has some connection to LQ (his Army bro, I think) His voice...Lord have mercy...it's sexy..LOL
The death of Wu Si Yue was unnecessary. The plot with Liu Ran’s brother was useless. From my POV, the only character…
Yes the writer started sleeping on WSY and Erlang characters in the latter eps. And remained awake for GBZ. This imbalance happens a lot in dramas sadly and the only time I saw a balance of characters is Imperial Coroner drama.
Luoyang has been one of the Best parts of 2021. From the start, this drama meant business and it delivered. From the acting 10/10, cinematography 10/10, directing 7/10 and the story 8/10. There was never a dull moment with this drama and I never skipped a scene. As much as I enjoyed the main characters, I also enjoyed the supporting cast as much. The actor who played Lord Chu of Intelligence Service was amazing. Somehow Lord Chu had a way with words that just makes you want to listen plus his voice without the mask is swoon-worthy....tbh, I was crushing on him, 😄 Luoyang is not perfect; the directing at times, bgm and certain characters (Liu Ran) weren't to my liking but it's not that too significant. A well worth it DORAMA
P S. There is a theme of Good vrs Bad Sibling in this

I just can't fathom the idea of this continuing without Yoo hun...
