Maybe because in my long history of watching period dramas, I have learned that the one who walks around preaching about peace and harmony is the most evil.

I have a question:
If it turns out BFX is also Princess Xiyun won't it make past Queen Yige her aunt therefore cousin to Lanxi? Isn't princess Xiyun's father, Emporer of Dadong and brother of Queen Yige? Or I'm wrong.
I know, in this era the royal families would marry eachother etc. but if it turns out our OTP are cousins then I will have to deal with a little icky feeling.
Anyone to enlighten me, please.

Same, life is already full of sadness so a fantasy Happy Ending is all we need. But honestly as much as I hate sad endings, I can't stand the open ended endings especially ones with staring contest etc...yuck

I know, it's actually enjoyable or shall I say, looking at ZYC is enjoyable 😉 😄

Oh.. this drama has 22 ep. That's great, now I can watch it together with Who rules the World then. Plus this has more ep. already out= Yay for me.

I can say the Acting was the Highlight of this drama. YZ and XZ nailed it and the supporting cast was great too. The story was a hit and miss for me. There were moments I really liked (the leads relationship which looked so natural) and other stuff I didn't like or care about (the side couples) Tbh, if not for the lead actors, I would have dropped it so all is not lost, I guess.

And all The Writer needed to do was Turn that Rain Confession scene TRUE...
They are playing April's Fools Day on us and my patience is wearing thin.

I know that and QW knows that but that doesn't affect her from wanting things to have been different even if it's just a dream from coma. It's sort like the idea of What If this where to happen...what will you do? And that "What If" is what's interesting.

Omg! This took me by surprise in the best way possible. I was actually browsing for a little romcom, a break from crime dramas fest. And this popped up and I binged watched all 12 ep. in one day. It's very addictive and now, I impatiently wait for next ep. The main leads are perfect for the roles. I've always thought there is something special about Zi Tao's acting and in this, he is superb. His acting is very natural and if you didn't know better you would think you are watching his real self in a drama. Plus his voice is a blessing. Until now, I have not paid much attention at Zu Er but after this drama, I will watch out for her. She is also very good and her emotional expressions are very natural. I love her character and QW can talk for the world...hehe. The chemistry between LX and QW is incredible...you can't help but smile or laugh at their scenes. I quite like the story actually and maybe because it's many people's fantasy to go back in time and change things. How cool would that be? and I love how this drama answers this....

The best thing this Drama has going for it among others is ep. count. 12 ep. is great because it will avoid some unnecessary dragging and angst plus when it finishes, it will leave us yearning for more. Nothing is New at all about this drama but it's just FUN like literally a pick me up drama after a long exhausting realities of life.

Yeahhh, She is back and cannot wait to watch Eve...

Yes he was wrong but his love is the purest. Actually in China (maybe other certain countries too) , if you have a debt, your spouse will automatically inherit it hence why he was quick to divorce. For that reason, he is the best husband for her.

Okay...when did this drama started to go all draggy on me...sigh
Tbh from ep. 11-18 my Ff button was in full employment. I just felt like we are going in circles with our OTP that I starting to get annoyed. Other couples are making progress...hell even Mr Xu and YanRan are unknowingly making progress so what is wrong with JY and JX. Actually lets talk about JY for a sec. I feel like there is a difference between being love incompetent and plain annoying or stringing along someone. Keeping someone at a standby is very annoying and yet I can't completely blame her since JX is happy to. I actually liked how Mr Xu. asked for an answer and not wait too long and it makes sense because it's either you like someone or you don't.
JingJjng and her hubby are my new favourite ....
Btw this drama has 24 ep but dragging makes it seem like a 40ep. Plus from those previews, it seems we are getting another JX obsessed girl 🙄
Overall it's okaish and will definitely finish what I started....sigh

So for some unknown reason, I actually thought this drama was 20 episode long...Like seriously...LOL

The writer who wrote FL character should just be the one who writes in all dramas. Qiu Yan is amazing and I love how she doesn't let her heart overrule her brain and mostly considers the bigger picture. This is one of those rare dramas where we have smart ML, FL and the villain. And I love a battle of wits.

So I've been pretty much a stalker to everything this series related...I was counting the days hence my expectations were through to the sky. Now that I've watched ep 1, well, it's okay. I wasn't blown away but still want to watch more. It is beautiful that's for sure and that skin smoothing is top notch but the story hasn't hook me in yet. They say good things come to those who wait so ep 2, I shall await.
Btw, why exactly is Kuea pretending to be someone he isn't? For all I see Lian seems to like his true self (well those little glances and smiles don't lie) so what led him to start behaving this way? They better have an explanation.

So glad I just started this so I'm not up to date yet. Gotta say, I love it...It keeps you yearning for more each ep. and the best part are the main leads characters. The one who decided for the leads to use their original voices should get my Bow. ML's voice is seductive, holy sh**, it's like hypnosis.
And I got my full dose of Smart FL...wow, she is brilliant (bravo writer). If I am to nitpick, sometimes I feel like the FL mindset, views etc don't quite suit this era/society norms and values. For example, this is an era where women are seen as below man in a lot of ways and our FL talks a lot about equality this and that. As much as I appericiate it, it sort of feel farfetched for someone living in this female oppressed society to think this way. There are times when I hear her speak and I picture her character in the 21st century instead. And I'm not saying all of her views because even in that era I would accept and believe a girl wanting to choose someone she loves to marry or wanting to be educated etc. It's just that the extent the writer portrays her independence and values does not quite match this period. It would have been nice/impactful to see where she adopted this way of thinking from in this type of society.
Tbh it's not a big thing (hey I can take this character anyday compared to the whiny damsel in distress one) but I just felt that about QY character.

The leads are gorgeous and there are so many couples to fangal over. The story is not new but still enjoyable. The acting is not topnotch but okay enough...actually the ML acting has grown on me (I still cringe on his emotional scenes though)
Oh did I mention How good looking everything is...Yep, everything is beautiful.
