When I saw a hint of Romance in the ending song, I was actually hesitant to continue, thinking that it will be the main focus which impacts the crime solving parts. Now I have watched up to 22 ep. and it's nothing like that at all. The romance is barely there; actually, aside from them pretending to be a couple to FL parents (it'sactually more hilarious than romantic), people remarks on them and stealing glances or doing extra little favours for eachother, there is nothing else romance-worthy. Crime solving is still at the core, and I appericiate that. Tbh, I think I prefer them getting together towards (if they are to) the end of the drama, cause that way, it makes it a little realistic since the build-up and all. So for those who might hesitate like I did due to romance, well this one is very safe (at least for the last 22 ep.)
Is she? Well, I can totally see that...hehe The way they are in the drama looks like they are practically married. I love how opposite they are in the drama...
LOL don't make those assumptions and expectations bc they will be disappointing.
LOL noone is expecting anything. I said I just like her image to the public so far. When I say I heard, it's from someone who has met her personally. So I just like her the same way you would like your fav actor/actress and don't need anything from her as I don't know her personaly. It's a simple like so don't read anything else into it, it's not that deep.
It's nothing wrong in not liking a drama where everyone is praising it, though i love this drama i don't expect…
Aww, you guys...All of you are so very kind. And I agree with all of you, I will give it 2 more ep. then decide to either move on or stay. Btw, I'm a fan of both lead actors which is why I expected myself to just automatically like it and it didn't happen. Thanks, Y"all...xxx

So I watched 2 ep....and aaah I'm actually hesitant to say this. I kinda didn’t like it. Now reading the comments and everyone is praising it (well most people), I'm now thinking, is it me, am I having a midlife crisis or something. One thing for sure, I seem to have a type...dramas like Crossroad Bistro, My rational life, Nothing but 30, Ode to Joy are my favourites. But then again, I felt the butterflies when I watched Lovely Scenery, Intense Love, and My fated boy, so what's going on with me....
I have a feeling Tae Kyung and Shin Woo will end up together. Episode 8 had some foreshadowing (the key chain…
You articulated it perfectly.... This is probably the first time I've been so heavily invested in someone's love life...haha Every single ep. my mind is constantly running through different theories...
Im so worrıed about chemıstry as if its my first world problem darn my brain x'D
Hehehe...well priorities. Song Hye Ko is a hit and miss for me. I was like you when I heard her being paired up with Park Bo Gum in Encounter and got pleasantly surprised by their incredible chemistry. So we will see... The only pair that I have absolutely enjoy with JKY is with Hyeri in MRIAG...now their chemistry is mind-blowing
Same I think he doesn't have that much chemistry with the female lead in Search WWW but he is really good in MRIAG,…
Agree...Also I wish he could challenge himself and take a completely different character role...I don't know, a policeman in a crime drama, doctor in a medical drama, a scholar in a period drama, or just any other ones. I truly think he has the potential but then again he does really well in these fluffy, rom coms so well....
Okay the guest role list is stellar incredible....from Gina Jin, Janice Wu to Ji Xiao Bing Wow, this drama just gave me more reasons to want to watch it....
Wow, this is actually enjoyable plus great casting. After watching the first series, I used to think that if they ever do a series 2, this ML would be perfect as Dr Qin and never thought my imagination would become reality (well, after a few series followup). ZYJ has that presence and look that can portray weird, dorky, cute very seamlessly. And ofc, who better to play the bossy, sassy and adorable FL than ZYT. She has that charm and it's easy to like her. But, really they should add Comedy among those genres. This series is hilarious OMG! so many LOL moments that I sometimes forget that it's a crime drama. It has a sl8ght feel to Dr Qin but at least in here I am not busy comparing the lead here to the one in the 1st series which has been my problem. And again, it's the power of ZYJ to be able to make me see his character as is.
Well Thank You MDL for having this group that is actually helpful and may just have saved me a whole night of binging this series. After reading the comments...Hell to the F*** No am I watching it. I can't stand cheating; whether in real life or in fiction or even if it's presented in all forms, shapes and sizes. Cheating is like poison...it's literally a killjoy. I always get baffled whenever the writer want to include a problem in a relationship and they turn to Cheating. As far as we know there are so many problems a relationship go through and some might lead to a breakup so of all those, there are unfit compared to cheating...me= rolling eyes. I don't believe in the statements like cheating= I made a mistake or it will never happen again etc... Because the thing is, it is preventable and it shouldn't have happened. Even if you were drunk, you should ask yourself how you got into that situation first, unless it's something you are forced into. Another major reason why I shall save my sanity is I never liked Teh so knowing that he is going to be a bigger jerk, yeah it's a major turnoff. Someone said this to me and I hold onto that advice dearly: 1) Love that is too painful is not love meaning, if you are in a relationship but you are constantly unhappy and this is caused by the person you love, then leave because as it is love for you, it is not for them. 2) If you ever are going through pain and it starts to affect the one you love, then reflect and you should change that. A relationship is about twp people and what happens to you, good or bad, directly or indirectly affects your partner. Now Oh experienced both things and Teh failed in both so clearly these two seem to be wrong for eachother...
I feel that The One to Blame for this Hot Mess is the Writer. Seriously, apart from the title, the tombs and some familiar characters I don't recognise this series... There is no Respect or Care for the previous series or actual story whatsoever...
I'm planning to watch this after I finish Ultimate Note, however reading the comments, I'm hesitant to do so.…
And with that mindset I would advice not. Honestly, I am beating myself up each time I watch an ep because of how bad it is. And the problem is, I can't just stop watching because somehow I still believe that by the power of miracles it will get better and so far...nope, nothing... As much as I want to spare you the frustration plus headache I think you can watch it and see for yourself. Just know, it's Nothing like Ultimate Note and actually it doesn't resemble the other series in terms of character. The Writer really Failed Us!
Am I the only one who's not enjoying this series at all?? I'm on ep. 5 and I'm trying my hardest to find the reason why I should stick around and yet none except that its part of The Lost tomb series and I have watched the other ones (all of them). I'm still processing Fatty's betrayal and that it's been 2 ep. and he hasn't yet come clean. Granted, Fatty loves money but I never thought he would beytray Wu Xie with Henry Cox for this long..unless it's a plot twist (it better). Also, my annoying surprise is when Wu Xie becomes so infatuated by Ah Ning that he decides to be stupid and follow her in a blizzard....sigh. What is going on??? I'm glad Xie ge didn't react and remained laying there (I would too) and leave him to it. Plus what happened to Chen Pi....like if he looked like that 40 years ago, how come he hasn't changed??? I hope they will explain that. Also, how come he didn't react to Qiling at all since he looks (albert he is the same) the same with someone who tried to slash his eyes?? I mean that old man had a reaction so the normal thing is he would or worse still would want revenge... So far Fatty and Wu Xie have good chemistry (I'm tempted to give credit to ZBY) but Wu Xie and Qiling feels distant to eachother...Don't know why. If I remember in last Lost tomb 2 they had a better relationship. Anyway, I could be the only one who feels that this series feels a lot different to the rest or I'm just being too judgemental. I will continue watching and maybe for two reasons: 1) the og. recurring cast makes me feel nostalgic plus they are a bit consistent in character 2) it's The Lost Tomb 2 with 24 ep...That count for something right???
Yeah, I thought so. Because, If I put this series in the lenses of the sequel to Lost tomb 2, it doesn't feel like it's bad at all. But if I compare it to Ultimate Note then I feel like this is bad. I think, it's a bit wrong timing for this series because those who watched UN would have very high expectations for this one hence feel underwhelmed.
So for those who might hesitate like I did due to romance, well this one is very safe (at least for the last 22 ep.)
